  1. I don't trust Lauer, but I can't give a reasonable stats-based explanation. Or any explanation, really. He's pitching exceptionally well for the 4-5 guy, so I'd definitely say he deserves a shot.
  2. Bats, time to wake up. Give us a crooked number, please. Our pitching can't hold us forever.
  3. Woodruff hasn't been locating his offspeed pitches too well, so they're just sitting on that FB. Except for Albies.
  4. He grooved one to Freeman, but Albies took that one almost out of the dirt.
  5. Grooved one 2-0. I would have been OK with a walk. Throw something out of the zone and hope he chases. Oh well.

  8. Agreed. He should have smashed that 1-1 hanger. Didn't even take the bat off the shoulder.
  9. wasn't it turner ward? Definitely Brady Clark. I remember it well. One of the finest catches in the team's history, but it got next to no love nationally due to how terrible the team was at that time. Yeah, I mention it as one of my favorite catches as well earlier in the thread, but, like you, I haven't seen that play in ages. I thought it was one of the best catches I'd seen when it happened, but I'd like a fresh take on it because I don't remember it 100%, besides that it was at Coors Field.
  10. I haven't seen the catch in a long time (I don't know if I've seen a replay of it since it was shown on the day it happened), so I don't remember if it's as great as I recall, but Brady Clark had a crazy catch at Coors Field going back in center field. That one was jaw-dropping. Does anyone else remember that catch?
  11. Thanks for a helluva season, Brewers, and to the Brewerfan.net community. It's been enjoyable hanging around here after reading/lurking around this board for ages, finally signing up a few years ago, to posting a lot more this last year. It's been a fun ride, and I have high expectations for next year. I expect to see some fresh, young faces as starting pitchers, and I hope the Brewers can have an offseason like the last one and really make this team World Series caliber for a while. No more going several seasons between playoff appearances. Milwaukee deserves a winner, and I think the right people are on board to make that happen. Also, I really hope Jimmy can come back healthy and pitch as he pitched before that freak injury. Thanks again for an amazing season! Now I want more!
  12. They're lauding the Machado bunt, but you just know if he fouled that off they'd be asking why a guy that can launch one out of the park who very rarely bunts would even try it.
  13. So, the Brewers have a bunch of good choices to put in as starters next year that are currently in the bullpen (Woodruff, Barnes, and Freddy.) Where does that leave Hader? Is he too valuable out of the pen or do you have to at least see what he could be as a starter?
  14. Of all the people. I don't know who would be worse, him or Machado. Now that just stings like crazy. Please, come back. I don't know how. And I don't feel like they will. But I just want to make his celebration look stupid. Ugh. JJ just really hasn't had it this postseason, save for one game.
  15. I meant Manny "Flyout" Machado, Cody "Fielder's Choice" Bellinger, and Yasiel "Strikeout" Puig!
