  1. I actually had to double check. Reading all this talk of what nothing being done had me second guessing whether the deadline had already passed.
  2. Now, how would that package compare to, say, Rob Bryson, Zach Jackson, Matt LaPorta and Michael Brantley I wonder. Oh well good for LA maybe if they can get a couple more players they can feel like they have a shot at winning enough games
  3. There have been years where the Brewers have allegedly been in on some of the headliner guys who were traded at the deadline. And the farm system has assuredly got other GMs eyes all over it. Perhaps soon our offer will be the one that wins. I’m not predicting or even advocating a big trade. I think you just never know.
  4. Nova is so well done. Fascinating. It draws me in and I, as often as not, surrender the hour.
  5. I’ll always regret not talking my sister into going to that show.
  6. Once upon a time, when the Brewers were absolutely awful at getting anything across the plate in those 1st & 3rd nobody out situations, I thought there ought to be a special double play rbi rule just for the Brewers.
  7. He reminds me a little of Myles the You Betcha guy. There’ll be innings to eat.
  8. The good news is that we don’t have to be better than them on paper, or be better at all. Just have to beat them in a postseason series.
  9. Wellp no time like the present for the bats to come back to life
  10. Sanchez destroyed that. He just looks like he’d be scary to have to pitch to.
  11. I’ll be watching this one in the morning. From the IGT it looks like I’m in for a treat
  12. I wonder if BA was referring to this site in the top of the first when he was talking about people online wanting Arnold to trade for Skubal
  13. Hmm. I wonder how much, if any, advantage might have been gained for gas’s next game by quietly helping him fix it.
  14. Cade McNown. I was chatting with a Bears fan in an establishment in Anchorage last fall (discussing the gulf of QB competency between the Packers and the Bears over the past 35 years) and when I dropped that name, it almost seemed to cause him physical pain. Like he'd been slapped in the face.
  15. It's very simple, really. The Milwaukee Brewers are friggin' awesome. Have been for years.
  16. Well when he left Milwaukee he was still getting carded for R rated movies.
  17. And they often cannot tell the difference between these:
  18. I mean, who didn’t instantly have Rock Ridge on the IL and Perk back as soon as they saw the play once? Unfortunate part of an otherwise great game yesterday.
  19. I still think a string, if it's possible. Water will follow it down, I've seen folks out here use the technique to guide roof runoff into their rain barrels.
  20. If it’s all coming from one particular point perhaps running a string from that point would bring the water down quietly. It would be a fun little science experiment.
  21. The mlb.tv “event about to start” music has a real Marky Mark & The Funky Bunch sound to it
  22. Haven't gotten to see today's yet. I liked what I saw yesterday. The last pitch of his outing yesterday was reallly nice.
