  1. They didn't score runs but they did hit the ball hard and had baserunners in the last six innings. I counted about four warning track flyouts.
  2. Agreed! Let's sneak out there Saturday morning and set up a bunch of detour signs directly into Lake Michigan!
  3. This isn't any other sport. This is baseball. I'm fine with one wild card or having the one game wild card playoff between two wild card teams. I'm not at all fine with this current system.
  4. It should have. A division winner's season should not come down to a 3 game series vs 6th place.
  5. Cleveland game is a great example of why this postseason system is so bad. That massive division race comeback should mean something like it used to. Detroit's season should be over.
  6. Well rock bottom will be the end of the year when they are looking up at a 2-10 record.
  7. I was really happy with the Fickell hire but in year 3 this is probably a bottom 5 program out of all power 5 programs. There's no coming back from this.
  8. I would think so. I don't see any way he would get a start and we have plenty of relievers.
  9. Yeah I saw that too. I mean three or four years ago I'm sure some fans brought it up, but it wouldn't have been a realistic option with his contract. The Brewers would have got nothing in return and the only thing he could have been traded for is some salary relief.
  10. Nobody asked for your opinion on the Magic Number Thread. I think hawing explained how this works to you as nicely as possible.
  11. Yeah this is kind of where you want to be right now. Games are still meaningful but they're not in any immediate danger of falling into 2nd place. I'd be more worried if they had an 11 game lead right now which would mean they wouldn't have another meaningful game for three weeks.
  12. That's kind of funny that the league screwed up the math on it.
  13. Either way, the odds would be over four trillion to one on the Brewers missing the postseason. And that would be assuming every game is a 50/50 coinflip so in reality the odds would be much longer than that. So it's not really worth it to research it and find out if they're wrong.
