  1. Of course they can. But Shouse is a LOOGY that can go basically everyday and you have the oppositions best lefthanded hitter up late in a close game. There is no reason not to take advantage of that matchup. But we have two outs and the tying run is still on deck with a weak hitting (powerwise) lefty at the plate with a righty behind him. We've already used four pitchers and if Fukudome gets on against Shouse we now have to burn a righty to finish the inning. Add Gagne in the ninth and we've used seven pitchers in a three run win. It seems to me that if we have to use a specialist to get every batter out in a 'tight' situation, we will wear out the pen by June.
  2. Do we have to use every reliever every night? Is there a rule that righties can't get lefties out?
  3. Hart has joined them as well. This team is fun to watch when they hit. http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/smile.gif
  4. Sheets didn't get that call all night.
  5. That ended quickly. I like good defense.
  6. Braun went in with his spikes up. This could get interesting his next ab.
  7. Bases loaded. Braun is gonna swing out of his shoes.
  8. I might bunt Weeks here since he has been struggling and Cameron, Braun and Fielder seem to be seeing the ball well. Nevermind. Nice job Rickie.
  9. Sheets just can't get a call on the outside corner.
  10. This doesn't even look like the same team that I've been watching for the last couple of weeks. Their approach has changed overnight. Hill!!!Is McClung warming up in case they have to PH for Sheets? I sure hope Sheets is okay.
  11. The two errors caused Ben to throw 12 extra pitches. He's currently at 72 pitches so I'm guessing the 4th will be his last unless he gets out of it very easily.
  12. Why would they be playing with the infield in in the 3rd inning? That's just dumb.
  13. Braun, a homer doesn't help us here, take a normal swing,
  14. I disagree.. because no matter what you have your corners in and it wasn't hit hard enough for hardy to turn it if he was playing back.. Hall could have cut it off but didn't because he would have had a difficult turn and throw home. If the mids were back, it would have been an easy 5-4-3 DP.
  15. Rock was right. That was an easy DP if the middle infielders are back.
  16. Why don't you just walk him? Edit: Thank you.
  17. He should have dropped the popup and forced Ramirez at 2nd to get him off the bases.
  18. I am guessing they would double switch and Counsell would play SS I'm pretty sure you have to announce who you are PHing for when the player is announced, I don't think you can change your mind afterwards.
  19. That was a strike to Hill and the pitch to Gonzo wasn't?
  20. Braun with a good pitch and couldn't do anything with it.
