    My wife's been working tickets at her high school football games. She's a special ed teacher there. Winneconne has been beating everyone like 40 - nothing, or close enough to that. Playoffs will be interesting.

    My half year update. I'm off to Froedtert in 2.5 weeks for an echo-cardiogram and CT scan, as a follow-up to my aortic dissection last year. I still have an aortic aneurysm which they're watching. Last year they were content to wait a year before checking again. Both my parents died from aortic aneurysms -- Dad four years ago and Mom two years since. As a result, I've been a bit uneasy about the whole affair. If anything comes of it, I hope they work on it this year, since I blew away my deductible early this year with my hospital stay. I'm hoping I'm still okay, for awhile at least. They said it'll definitely have to be dealt with eventually. It could be as easy as putting a stent in, or, worst case, A full blown surgery like my mom went through after Dad died. Well see...

    I hope the Padres/Cubs series goes for all three games and both teams burn out their pitching doing it.

    The sales guy who sold us our last four cars works security for Packer games. He told us the worst ones were when the Vikings were here. Their fans were the most drunk and troublesome he had to deal with.

    I could have made it to this one. 3 of my friends were there, sitting in the stratosphere in the end zone seating. I didn't have the endurance for this one, preferring my couch yesterday. I'm glad they brought their luck with them like we all did last year. 😄
