  1. I haven't seen this team play this well in a long time.
  2. In order for that to happen, the Vikings will have to go on a 27-6 run from here on out.
  3. It's as if big AAA numbers don't mean jack squat in the majors.
  4. I know some here said they are for bringing Thames back again next season because he went on a nice run for a while, but let's not forget we have seen him go on several terrible and prolonged hitting slumps in his time here, and most of it involves multiple strikeouts per game.
  5. Thames is turning into a strikeout machine again.
  6. Could you also post the TV schedule of these games if they apply?
  7. Odds are a starter won't pick up another win this season.
  8. On the bright side, we get 30% off of Papa John's tomorrow.
  9. If that mound visit truly was about what pitch to throw to Thames, then you can bet the farm it's not a fastball. Thames shouldn't even have thought about swinging.
  10. [sarcasm]Time to put on the "Sweep Suits" and head out to St. Louis.[/sarcasm]
  11. The ball lands in the upper deck of the Grand Canyon of baseball parks and they're saying 418 feet. Uh, OK.
  12. Because he hit .387 in AAA, and as we all know, success in AAA always translates well in the big leagues.
  13. Lord help us, Augie's filling in for Rock.
  14. In his defense, He's only called about four games this year at Miller Park.
  15. I was at the game today. Third behind the plate a little to the first base side. I din't think the Cubs fans were that bad or even that loud. Oh, and I also got video of the home plate umpire getting hit with the ball.
  16. No one is going back and forth. I said before the series that if they win 3 out of 4 against the Cubs they have a shot. If they win tomorrow they will have done that. If not, oh well. Tomorrow is their season as far as I'm concerned, but 2 GB with 20 to play would not be insurmountable. Maybe not going back and forth but how many times have we gotten our hopes up after one win and then be reminded that we are fooling ourselves and this team isn't a playoff caliber team after a loss the very next day?
