  1. Jeff Levering says he thinks 2020 is going to be a fun year for Houser. Will it be for Brewers fans?
  2. Taking three strikes is not the way to do that. That has to be the most pathetic attempt to sac bunt by a pitcher this year, and that's saying alot.
  3. 2017 was the worst thing that could've happened. It accelerated a rebuilding process that probably shouldn't have been. Now we'll probably be saddled with a bad contract in Cain and will probably have to restart a rebuilding process that will not be as popular with the fans as the one that started in 2016. And no way Yelich stays after his control is done.
  4. Of course the front office knows they didn’t have enough to get it done. That is why they actually sold at the deadline, trading away major league players for minor leaguers for next year. Faria isn’t helping them this year, but the fact their GM traded the right handed part of their first base platoon away tells you what they thought of their chances this year. They also must have concluded Dubon won’t amount to anything at the major league level so they unloaded him for 25 innings of Pomeranz and a 29 year old AAAA arm. Stearns traded Aguilar away because he sucked and had a better option already on the roster, namely Grandal.
  5. The worst thing that could've happened to this team is finish ten games above .500 in 2017, the second year of a five year rebuilding process.
  6. I believe that DS, much like us, believed deep down that this team isn't going anywhere but didn't want to look like he was giving up on the season so he acquired ho hum players, but that is going to come back and bite him what with giving away our only true high end prospect. Sometimes you just have to bite the bullet and do what's best for the future. Unfortunately I don't see much of one in the short term. It's not easy being a fan of a small market team.
  7. Why would they even think about stealing bases? All they're going to accomplish with that is putting themselves in scoring position.
  8. It's at bats like that that are the difference between legitimate playoff contenders and teams that flounder around .500.
