  1. OK, to CC's credit he admitted his mistake of leaving Albers in to pitch to Votto. Sorry don't feed the bulldog though.
  2. Here's a recap of what you missed. Anderson being pulled prematurely. Counsell leaving in Albers to pitch to Votto. Yelich bunting in the 11th Walk off bad cutoff fundamentals. Did I miss anything else? Oh, I forgot Braun's "I'll just turn this double into a triple" effort attempting to field a ball and Hiura's "Please touch my glove" tag attempt. Neither one cost us but it's still bad fundamental baseball.

  4. Not sure Yelich didn't do that on his own, but if Sedar called that and I was Yelich, I'd roll my eyes Aaron Rodgers style and swing away.
  5. I don't like this team in extras. You just know their approach is to swing for the seats every at bat, except for Yelich trying to reach bunting of course.
  6. Some players just lay down the glove and expect the runner to just slide their hand into it. Not smart baseball.
  7. But, but Freitas is the answer to our offensive woes! So obviously he wont have as good of stats as Freitas. You know as well as I do he’s not the answere to our offensive woes, but if Pina continues flailing away at the plate, he’s an option. First of all, Pina is awesome. Secondly, when Nottingham was up here he was literally used only as a pinch hitter. I don't know why Frietas would be used any differently.
  8. Not to mention swapping out proven players for a couple of guys that have had all of one good season each, the former of which has about 50 at bats at AAA. What a horrible notion. I mis-read the post. Thought asking what to do with the outfield if Braun and Cain went on the IL. Grisham would probably do well because of his plate approach. Freitas would could(could?) hit well enough to allow Grandal to play 1B vs Lefty’s, but at worst still hit better than Pina’s .155. And Dubon should probably stay down till the deadline, likely traded. Freitas is not going to get called up in place of a guy who only plays once a week and is a superior defensive catcher just because you're needlessly in a panic mode about the offense, so much so that you are stumping for DS to call up half of San Antonio.
  9. I said Braun didn't look concerned and I just brought up a hypothetical that others commented on. Nobody was hardly overreacting. Knowing Braun it's not completely out of the question.
