The Royals are moving Grienke to the Pen because of dissapointment in his performance. I would love to see the Brewers pursue him and assign him Elmer Dessens role or assign him to AAA. At this point, do we have the *available* goods to get a deal done? Would you offer Gwynn for Grienke? (personally I dont know that I would) Gabe Gross?

Lets see those old legs work CC. Steal 3rd.

Doesnt make much sense that they would be seeking out a RH bat to replace the LH hitting Anderson. More than likely I think they might be interested in one of the Killer G's - Gwynn, Geoff, and Gross. And if its not Scott Shields who I really dont see us getting in return, I would want eric Aybar.

There is something to be said for Chemestry - and this team has what seems to be perfect Chemestry. I keep it as is unless they offer scott shields.

This could be just a HUGE confidence builder for Carlos V. Come on! One more shutout inning kid!

I thought we got rid of Winkelsasage.

Thats right JJ! 2nd time around the order - things only get better for us from here on out.

Dont get down on the boys yet - we havent even been around the order yet.

Yes. And I am sure that Coco would agree. I saw Coco missing his spots but he didnt seem to be out of gas by any stretch of the imagination. That said - I think if TBOW got another shot - his adrenaline might get the best of him and he could possibly implode and be lost for the season. He seems comfortable and dominant as a setup man. I prefer he remain a setup man.

Just something I had not seen before - I agree it was probably just banter but just was wondering if there was a deeper story to it.

Anyone notice that dirty look and hesitation by Hall to shake Weeks Hand in the dugout after that HRl? Am I just overreacting? Were they goofing? Or do they not like eachother?

    Give Vargas another inning

If someone wanted Ben Sheets - the deal would start with the usual suspects as teams. Manny and a healthy Jon Papelbon for Boston. In NY the deal would start with Phillip Hughes and Humberto Sanchez. In LA - Clay Kershaw and probably Billingsley. LAA - Brandon Wood and Nick Ardenhardt I think that next year the offers will start rolling in and the Brewers are going to be forced to make a deal. We are going to have to choose between Sheets or Prince, Cappy, and Weeks and the loot from a sheets deal. To me it is a nobrainer. I REALLY think Ben Sheets is a top 10 pitcher in the Majors but a team like Milwaukee has to make a profit on their big stocks.

Are Hart and Capellan a fair value for Chad Cordero? I think Hart could become a star in Washington, Capellan could Close for Washington. It would be rare for Melvin to give up more than he gets back, but to have a 7,8,9 like that would make us the best Pen in the league.

I think they definatly let Dessens take the ball and run with it tomorrow.

    Estrada is money here.

Man - I tell you if I were Ned Yost Id put my eggs in the futures basket and send weeks to 2nd and then have Counsell bunt him to 3rd. Note - now they send him with 2 outs. Why dont the Brewers know how to manufacture runs?
  21. aracko
    FUNDAMENTALS!
  22. aracko
Now you REALLY need to move him over!
  23. aracko
    Just move him over Craig.

    Suicide Squeeze!

We will get another chance. Heck of a throw. That was almost Jeff Francoeur like.
