With all of the trades that came in late I don't think this was a bad deadline at all. I do think it makes more sense to move it back a week or two though if you get too close to september callups I think teams will be less likely to trade as well. Zero trades by the Red Sox and Yankees would be my argument why it’ll change.
Probably because he’s in his 4th year at the Major league level. Still looks lost at the plate. Was our top prospect at one point. And he has a career OBP below 300
You want to trade away the farm with zero regard for future years. Plus who knows if any team views our prospects as you do. Stearns can’t just focus on this year when there are plans in the works to have a baseball season in 2020 and beyond.
Love this!! Pomeranz can help the pen this year. Black could be a nice addition for future. Better than nothing for a light hitting/no walk middle infielder. Personally think Stearns has milked a lot out of these trades.
You let me know when Wilson touches 100 mph, as Black does regularly, and I'll take this seriously. Does black throw that hard? Know nothing about him.
I don’t see a single person I would. Cost controlled for 3 more years. And really only Trout is better than him (Bellinger has been coming back to the mean). The thing for MKE and Trout is the amount of money owed. Basically Yelich costs a third of the price and getting relatively similar production. Also love the fact he’s left handed. Still think Trout is easily the best player in the game...yelich would be second. His team friendly contract makes him all the more valuable.
Just for fun Lewis Brinson batting below .200 with -0.5 War Monte Harrison has 12 strikeouts in 8 games Isan Diaz is batting .200 through 12 games Conversely, Yelich is off to a 1.3 War year already. And, well, doing what Yelli does.
