It’s risky, but the bullpen has been pretty taxed the last week. I’d roll him out there one more inning.

May has been alright today, shaky in terms of command, couple good defensive plays have saved him. Crew need him to get through a couple more innings today.

Murphy needs to shake up the lineup tomorrow, Offense has been sputtering for a bit. Hope they can figure it out, hasn’t been fun to watch them lately. See y’all tomorrow, go crew

We just have not been very good at developing them. Wilken and Ray were massive busts, Payne is looking extremely promising but likely 2-3 years away still. Fischer and Burke both strike out far too much to help this year but have unlimited power, Brown was a bust but also not a power hitter per se and Frelick does everything well except hit for power and hit consistently for that matter. Good thing is our international development has vastly improved

Significantly better is a hell of a term to use. I’d say they got better by sheer proccess of removing Sproat from the rotation, maybe that is indeed significant but I don’t trust the bats one bit.

I repeat, 2 home runs total from your 2-4 hitters for a month. That is some of the worst baseball I’ve ever seen from the top of your lineup. Truly awful.

Chourio and Contreras have combined for one home run since July 5th. One. Inexcusably terrible. We need someone to wake the hell up. Yelich has one himself since then.

I’d rather the cubs win at least one, keeps us ahead of the dodgers and still sitting 5.5 up with Skubal going tomorrow for the dodgers

And the part that irks me the most, is that he has been the same guy all year. It’s not like he’s had a good stretch. He’s been the same easy to frazzle, short outing, struggling to command guy all year. Great that he throws hard but he has little to no command.

I think we’ve just seen the last of Sproat in the big leagues til 2028

And that feels like ballgame. Offense is offensive and Sproat can’t be trusted to limit the damage. Have to belief better options exist to start. Miz, Harrison, Drohan, May, Henderson, heck Gasser. We’ve all seen more than enough of Sproat. He does not have it.

Kid does not belong in this rotation. He has some serious improvement that needs to be shown.
