  1. This is exactly how I interpreted it as well. Maybe mis-worded but we shall see. Would be a steal at slot.
  2. A tremendous amount of time and thought put into this, very cool to read! I don’t think your far off but the most important number/cost saver is Fischer so I suppose a lot rides on that.
  3. I love the pick. Presumably will be under slot as well, has an elite tool.
  4. I thought I seen him mouth something “grabbed” so pulled his hamstring maybe? Either way concerned
  5. I’ve been responsible for two of the seasons biggest reverse jinxes, one would argue it could not have aged better 🤣
  6. This ump is awful. Squeezed Abner consistently in that inning, Contreras getting crossed up didn’t help either.
  7. I don’t know if we’ve spent enough time talking about how Christian Yelich’s back surgery turned him back into prime Yelich. With his 18th homer he is chasing his first 30 home run season since 2019. That contract is aging better and better if that remains true.
  8. I talked a bit about the Joey Ortiz stuff last week. Two great weeks does not undo his season long inconsistencies. His approach has not been good this year. That being said, best thing for the team and for Joey is to figure it out together.
  9. Mears has been rough last couple outings, has to be able to get ahead of guys and throw strikes period.
  10. Now because I opened my mouth, Ortiz is gonna put one in the seats this AB
  11. I’m leaving this discussion alone from here on out but I share the sentiment. I’m more encouraged by Durbin being a great utility bat if anything.
  12. Because the majority of the season he was one of the worst qualified hitters in baseball and that at bat was atrocious. I care. Move on. Don’t comment on my post then. Rather bizarre argument. Average OPS for starting shortstops last year was around .740, Joey is currently sitting nearly .200 points below that. I understand infield bats at the higher levels haven’t quite emerged and his glove has been solid at short, but wooooof.
  13. Promise you I haven’t. Still rocking an OPS around .550 even with the last month. He’s not been good at all
  14. Terrible loss. 4 straight innings with runs scored by the worst team in baseball. Sours a great homestand
  15. Contreras ain’t being tough or a hero by playing through this finger injury. He’s clearly not the same player at the moment, should have gotten it fixed.
