    I’ve never seen a team so bad VS Lefties and shut out so much! That said… the A’s are doing work on the Pirates so first will be ours for another day !

    If you told me our lineup on Saturday , and Rea Houser Teheran were in the rotation , before the season started … I’d guess our record was like 20-40 right now. As frustrating as it’s been… just wow.

    For all the insanity of this year to be sitting, what, 5 games over and in first.... playing a AAA lineup for the most part.... Imagine if we get people back and by July we start cooking,..... We could really run away with this mediocre division. Don't worry, crossed my fingers when I typed that. No jinx.

    I would even go as far as saying the only division clearly ahead of all others is the AL East. Every other division has 2 teams above .500, one at, and 2 below at varying degrees. Minus the AL Central which is indeed worse than the NL Central. We are seeing a ton more parity across the board with the new schedule.

    Most of my statement should have been in blue, although I wonder ... haha. Nah, I'm with you - he's going to be great, just sad to see where we are at right now mostly because of injuries and lack of production. And by production, I mean even replacement level play. Him, Black, and Quero might be a fun wave to see.

    Maybe he needs to find his way to the Milwaukee outfield … can’t do much worse than what we’ve seen up here in the OF and DH slots lol

    Anyone know when Frelick is due back? We need him starting up here. Wiemer is struggling as a rookie but Tyrone Taylor is not an everyday outfielder. At least Wiemer shows glimpses of promise. Glad we got the win today - any time you are at Memorial Day and in first place, you are not in horrible shape. Looking back it’s amazing all we navigated injury wise. Nearly every part of the team was affected. Amazing we have the record we do all things considered.

    Hot takes… Flahrety looked pretty good today. Checks stats… oh. Guess he wasn’t supposed to be that good. This is exactly why run differential is a silly stat to put any stock in. the Cardinals are not dead. Anyone surprised, raise your hand. Checks room, ok didn’t think so. Varland was a nice story and all but time to bring up a real arm. Oh wait… This is going to be the most maddening / winnable division / but still maddening year ever.
