  1. Idk about this trade one of these guys might win a triple crown one day ....
  2. I wouldn't say that. A lot of people were hoping/expecting his HR total to bump up near 30. He had 18 last year and if they were all at MP he would have had 8 more plus a lot of wall scrappers. Not hard to imagine his HR total being what it is right now...I personally expected him to float around 30 HRs a year with us. That is where a huge majority of his stat bump comes from. What is a little surprising is the .320 average to really juice up his stats. Personally I was expecting about .300 as a safe bet. What is most surprising is he still got to these stats despite starting off a little blah with the bat. He had to really turn it on in the second half (insane) to do it. It makes you wonder how good he might be moving forward. If he could hit for more power to RF...whew. Not only was he sort of blah, remember he was hurt for a bit there too, and the adjustment period after that. That makes this year even more special, as not just the counting stats are there, but the eye test is there. I was thinking he would fit MP perfectly, and his numbers are reflecting as such. One of the most underrated parts of his game is how he runs the bases. The man glides. He gets the extra base. He's no "burner" like a Gomez or somebody known for speed, but, he is quite possibly (minus maybe arm strength) one of the best all around players we have seen in a long time. AND HE IS STILL GETTING BETTER! Ahhhh. This trade, went from I like it, to a slam dunk already for me. Provided he stays healthy... he has to project to some amazing years the next few......
  3. I have loved this trade since day one. He , like any player will slump, but as we have seen - when get gets going - he really gets going. His low end production is higher than average... and his high end production is stupid. It's fun to watch a guy who seems to "get" hitting. Oh and we get to watch him for several years... In his prime.... Love it.
  4. From the get go, I thought Stearns did a fantastic job in this deal. The only thing I was a little bummed about was not getting JT as part of a bigger package (but probably at a discount in a big super mega deal - a little bit of my previous OOTP managing coming out there.. lol) - but let's be honest.... Yelich is not a rental or even a couple year player... be becomes a cornerstone of this team. He's young and I believe only going to get better. If a couple of those guys end up ok (the only one I really was high on personally was Diaz), I think we would still make that trade 100 times over! I think as I've seen stated before, we over value our own prospects to some respect... but even doing so here, Yelich's don't grow on trees. I am much happier with him than Ozuna, as Yelich fits the mold we want to go towards, less K more OB%.
