As often as we struggle at getting runs across in those situations , why isn't CC doing something different ? I might be wrong , but it seemed he managed more when we didn't have the DH !

That was just terrible , needed to plate more than one run there. Amazing how often we can do that !

Boy , I hope you are right ! Because right now he is a dead spot in the lineup! Absolute rally killer ! Does CC need him to hit under .200 to move him down in the lineup. Time to take the pressure off and move him down to the 6 or 7 spot .

Thanks you guys for the great reads ! The knowledge of the minors , ours and other teams is astounding ! I'm a little old school , I don't want to trade anybody to teams within the conference unless the package is so overwhelming or unless we don't think we will be competing for the playoffs for a year or two. That being said I think we will. Trades Burnes , would love to keep him but we all know we can't afford him . the package we get should re stock our minors with players ready to contribute in a year or two! Trade Adames , unfortunately his value is somewhat diminished , maybe there is a team out there that thinks they can fix his offense. Don't know what we can get for him. Woody, I'd like to keep him and sign him at reasonable price , he hasn't been exactly reliable for the last two years but his veteran presence would be valuable for the young guys! Would love to either sign or trade for a solid third baseman , very tired of journeyman players. Keep Yelich. Transition him to DH or first base . don't know if he can play first but I thought read that he had some experience there at one time. Not sold on selling Williams. Are we still trying to compete for the NL central ? if not , take the best package and ride Uribe. Don't know this but Chourio I think is not quite ready, let him play in AAA and see how he does, if he tears the cover off the ball there then bring him up ! I like the future of this team , just kinda sucks that we couldn't take advantage of our pitching the last few years !

Poo poo it all you want and I know its only 2 games , but he has 8 hits in 9 abs , while our new guys have two hits combined and Santana committed a costly error . things might change and hope they do , but that's a nice start and addition to a team that already hits the crap out of the ball . its a nice way to keep their momentum going while our offense is again stagnant ! Didn't seem like the scrubs gave up to much for him!

Fine with this move ! Works pitchers , patient hitter and doesn't strike out a lot . didn't give up much. Positive trade !

Totally agree ! Don't watch any CB !But what I do watch is the brewers , and we haven't had home grown corner infielders in ages . we have enough Of'ers in our system or so it seems. If we don't do it in the first ( best player avail ) it has to be a priority in the later rounds!

Its not like he isn't making good contact , he is ! Just has had some bad luck ! For some reason I'm not a huge fan of his , but I think he deserves more time!

Absolutely need a cap and a floor ! Don't understand how a fan of a small market team would not want this . There is nothing like watching the big market teams gobble up all the top end free agents while we pick up scraps ! Or lose our best players because we can't afford them (supposedly) ! Admittedly I don't know all the in's and outs of the financial end of baseball and whether small market owners can spend more or not , but at least with a floor they would have to spend more . at the same time with a cap , large market teams can't sign everybody, better players can trickle down . Would need stiff penalties for violators of cap and floor !

Don't kill me on this , but why are these proposed trades of a pitcher for a OF when that seems to be strength ( young) . We have needed corner infielders for it seems like decades !

Precisely, got so tired of the home run or strike out , power is nice but give me a guy who can work the pitcher and hit gap to gap who doesn't strike out half the time. Looking forward to some of the changes coming up . looks like the crew is changing there philosophy along with the changes. Love it !

For me until the teams philosophy for hitting changes it won't matter , almost everyone has a upper cut swing and going for the fences. Nobody can situationaly hit. That being said I would rather Adames not hit in the two hole , 5 or 6 would be better. Unfortunately I don't know who could hit second ? Not a lot of good options !

Nice article with very good insight . that being said , don't know your credentials, but if you can see this then why don't the brewer coaches see this and make the adjustment.
