  1. I'll take that line from Dubon. Much better than all the .225 or below hitters currently on the roster.
  2. I know it doesn't seem to matter, because we want the best deal. But if does happen , definitely prefer sending him to AL.
  3. Hate to give up on a season, will always be a die hard brewer fan, but looking at this line up , their are just to many holes to fill. Other than Woodruff , we don't seem to have a picture that can go more than six innings. Our everyday line up has only 1 guy hitting over 300. The highest ave after that is 272. Our relievers are shaky at best. (Aside from Hader) don't know enough about our farm system to comment except for the fact anybody that has come up recently hasn't made a impact as of yet. Maybe Hiura is the exception. Jopal made a good point of not thinning out our farm even more for a WC spot with such a team full of holes. Then again, who knows maybe we can get hot like last year and everything will be fine. Just not getting that vibe though. GO CREW !!
  4. Maybe, maybe not we did get him thru trade no free agency . No need to be snippy like a little girl. We just have a difference of option. No matter what GO BREWERS !
  5. Yikes. Not only we getting our butts handed to us , but now this. That was quite a Collison.
  6. Alot of moving parts to a cap. NFL can do it ,look how strong that league is. Understand that the unions for both league's are totally different. Not asking for hand outs for small market, just give teams more of a chance to compete. How about not only have hard cap but also a minimum. How about the idea when Yelich's contract comes up and u didn't have stupid contracts on the books and the Yankees come calling and offer 100 million more dollar's than we can . Love how that is fair.
  7. Have to admire Pitts hitters , they really make u work for outs most of the time.
  8. Good thing nobody cares about soccer. MLB competitive balance sucks. Small market teams have small margin of error compared to the large market. Small market teams can be competitive if they do almost everything right, but the success comes at a price of not being able to afford your top players. See KC , can't believe that people are okay with this. We will see how u feel when we have to move Yelich because we know that we can't afford him.
  9. I get it that alot of people don't care for Braun because of the ped's and the way he handled it. Not good. He is not our best hitter and never will be again, but name me another better rh hitter on our team.
  10. Really, a rigged system. Who cares. The players make ton of money playing a game! Get paid to stay in shape. They act like they take a bus for travel, pay for there own food and sleep in crappie hotels for six months of the year. Players will not ever get any sympathy from me. I would switch spots with them anytime they want.
  11. True , never said that batting average should stand alone metric, just that it shouldn't be dismissed ( never thought that you said that). I think sometimes people can over think it too. Baseball really isn't as complicated as it made out to be. I know they have a advanced metric for everything. Wonder how they scouted before ?
  12. What numbers are you talking about ? His numbers are not all-star worthy. Look , I like Shaw , I like him at third . Just saying we don't need two lefty third baseman who are virtually the same. If you think Shaw is the answer at second then we will have to agree to disagree. I don't have a answer, maybe if I had more time or got paid to do so I would , but to me to sign moose doesn't make sense. Could use the money in another area of need.
  13. I guess I was referring to what part would be the weak link. Not any players mentioned would scare me on a consistent basis. Just don't need to see us sign moose, would rather leave Shaw at third and find someone to play second . Or sign moose and trade Shaw, one or the other , I know that batting average isn't the tell all , but it still can't be ignored. As for eyeball test, I guess people can see what they want. To me Thames doesn't pass. Moose and Shaw offer a good argument. Just saying we have to many below .251 hitters
  14. Seriously - Thames. 219 ave Shaw 241 Arcia 236 Grandal 241 If we sign moose back 251 ave. I see alot of holes. Can live with Arcia because of his above average defense But to sign moose back and then have Shaw at second doesn't instill alot of confidence in that lineup. To many below average hitters.
  15. Give me anybody who can hit over.275, not strike out much. Too many hitters on the club hitting .250 or less.
  16. Yeah, been lurking around for a couple of years . Die hard fan of the crew since 73. Thames finally put me over the edge to finally post
  17. I know that I keep ragging on him , but Thames is just killing me. No way does he belong in the outfield. His bat just doesn't make up for it. I know he has power in his bat, but homeruns aren't everything. Too many .240 and below hitters in this lineup. Down 7 zip . No confidence in this lineup. Hope I'm wrong.
