The pitch clock has greatly improved baseball and once they improve the umpire situation they'll have addressed two of the biggest issues.

Seems like even when he's not going great Vaughn seems to contribute. Seems to draw a fair number of walks and generally doesn't throw away at bets.

Funny how some teams struggle against certain pitchers. I remember back in the '80s or '90s a pitcher for Kansas City royals that the Brewers couldn't beat if their life depended on it.

I'm not feeling particularly good about any of our starters going into the playoffs.

Honestly a couple things have made the game day experience much worse over the last 20 years. Excessive media timeouts are obviously not a plus. And when it's colder out my butt with winter gear is wider than my space allowance. The advance in television quality and 100-in TVs for $1,000 have made the couch experience better than being at the game in many ways. Especially for older guys like me that need multiple bathroom trips. Honestly the UW hockey game experience is far better even when they're not winning. Better seats, more comfortable seats, limited media breaks and contest that are generally around 2 hours.

How do you know Leonard wouldn't have recruited? How do you know he wouldn't have had a significantly different way of doing things if he was the HC? He's a very smart cat and I doubt he would have trotted out the rah rah high school head coach logos on his Blazer I simply don't see how he could be worse than what we've gotten the last three seasons. Maybe he didn't want any other head coaching position.

The speculation that Leonard would be worse I find irritating. I don't see how he could have been any worse simply because he wouldn't have spent 2 years trying to turn us into something we're not and would likely have been a better defensive overseer as a head coach.

If they don't win another game this year I think Fickel is toast and Mac probably goes with him. And with the schedule it's a real possibility
