With I believe five strikeouts and a caught stealing.

And I have to give Ashcroft some credit. Everything is moving and it's almost always on the edge of the zone or out of the zone.
  3. yourout
    Of course.

Rea has been flirting with disaster.
  5. yourout
That's so old school. Every swing of the bat should be capable of reaching the upper deck don't you know.

Trivia question that I don't have the answer for. Name the last Brewer hitter that was drafted by the team and came up tru the minors to have an at bat in an MLB All-Star game? Lo Cain doesn't count.

    Ultimate.....low bar.

While I'm happy they didn't get embarrassed i don't feel much if any better about their chances of scoring runs in playoff games and teams like the braves are going to score some from against pretty much anyone we trot out there.

If they are serious about contending for a WS they MUST add at least one bat.
  10. yourout
Certainly top 10 for this season.

+1. If Woody wasn't injured I'd rather have him hit DH when he wasn't pitching then Winker.

If that doesn't ricochet off Albies it's a tie game.

    Jinx much.

I bet it's been a good night for presales though.

I'm a big mechanics guy and did quite a bit of hitting coaching at the youth and high school levels and sometimes Major League guys get away with less than ideal mechanics because of superior hand eye coordination but most of the really elite hitters have solid footwork and don't have a thousand things moving at time of launch.

Of all the young guys I've seen come up lately at first glance Frelich has the best mechanics and it's not close.
  18. yourout
A pitcher walking Winker has to drive a manager nuts.
  19. yourout
Win or lose it's been a pretty memorable start for his career.
  20. yourout
I really think they need top down changes in all things hitting.
  21. yourout
    That helps....
  22. yourout
Lets see how they blow this chance.
  23. yourout
    Not yet....
  24. yourout
True but most lineups have 1st and DH as primary run producers.
  25. yourout
Have to be the worst 1st base and DH production in MLB.
