  1. Wilson has pitched well for us but I dont like the matchup with these guys.
  2. The key to keeping the Brewers in check is limiting the walks. Would be curious to see the record by walks received.
  3. Handling the end of franchise type players careers has to be one of the trickier tasks for managers. It would be easier if the players recognized their diminished skills and put the team first but I am sure players that were once at the pinnacle of their sport have an extremely difficult time doing that. I still remember how the end of Cecil Cooper's career played out. Not pretty.
  4. Fun little video of Adam Wainwright sitting in with Ueck for a 1/2 inning in 2022 popped up on my facebook feed. 610K views · 18K reactions | The game of baseball will miss the... WWW.FACEBOOK.COM The game of baseball will miss the legendary Bob Uecker ❤️ Here's a throwback to 2022, when Adam Wainwright joined Bob in the booth in Milwaukee!
  5. I wonder if that format would help or hinder small market teams.
  6. I don't know the ages of most of the posters here but speaking as one now in the third act of life(63) I find myself more easily agitated watching games and I think it is the fact I really want to see a WS win in my lifetime and the next 3-5 years are the best window of opportunity since 82 and who knows how many more I will get to enjoy. Not sure how many other old timers here struggle with being patient with the team. A WS win would be a high similar to the 93 Rose Bowl. Something you don't think would ever happen.
  7. Well said.... You really are the voice of reason around here. Seems like everybody.. myself included... can get overly reactive at times.
  8. Not sure I can watch. Both of those hits were pretty decent pitches and just better job of hitting.
  9. I don't know what is career plans are after baseball he might be a good guy to have in the organization.
  10. I think we have to wait till both these guys have 400 at bats under their belt to really have an idea on their ceiling
  11. If he can keep the walks under control he can be very valuable.
  12. Oddball stand for the day.. Mike Yastrzemski has a career ops of 1.110 versus the Boston Red Sox. He's also beat up the Brewers fairly well in his career OPSing .860
  13. Mitchell has reverse splits right now. He's hittng .269 against left-handers and .259 against right-handers and he has a higher OBP and OPS against left-handers. That even surprised me when I looked it up.
  14. I'm not sure what you mean by that but if you go take a look at the splits for the season right now Vaughn is hitting right-handers better than Yelich.
  15. For a guy with very modest arm talent Suter has carved out a very nice career.
  16. The obvious move is to have Vaughn be the DH and move Yelich to the bench but that's never going to happen.
