Maybe someone on this board can use sabremetrics to make us all feel better about that horrible, non-competitive at-bat by Hiura. the most annoying thing on that strike three pitch is if he gives up a little bit on the swing he could probably have hit that ball very hard in the right. But instead he swung so damn hard he had no chance to hit it.

Huira is the anti Vogelbach. Two strikes means you swing as hard as humanly possible no matter the location.

I didn’t hate the Peralta deal because I figured he would be a really good reliever. Whoops, guess that doesn’t even seem likely these days. I know he's a bit older but Topa has a live arm with pretty good movement

I think Topa has a bigger upside than Peralta.
