    While Mariners’ prospect Ryan Sloan was the story early (9-up, 9-down, no balls hit to the outfield), solid defense and 3B Jett Williams’ leadoff double in the bottom of the 4th inning helped turn the tide. DH Luis Pena struck the big blow via a 3-run shot in the bottom of the 6th inning, after which the Brewers never looked back in their 7-3 victory. RHP Bishop Letson started and topped out at 97.2mph, tossing 32 pitches and conceding 1 run over 1.1 IP. LHP Brian Fitzpatrick stranded 2 inherited runners to keep the game tight at 1-0. The Brewers defense turned 3 double plays and Bryce Meccage and Jaron DeBerry combined to cover 5 innings (1 unearned run). 8th inning doubles by super-subs Eric Bitonti, Andrew Fischer and Daniel Dickinson extended the Brewers lead to 7-2 before the Mariners added a late solo homer. 9 different players tallied 1 hit each for the Brewers, as 17 batters and 6 pitchers saw action. Quero went 2-for-2 on ABS challenges, while Darrien Miller was 1-for-2. The next Spring Breakout game is Sunday, March 22 against the A’s.

    It's great to see that INF/OF Eduardo Garcia has healed up after a hand injury relatively late in the Winter League ball season. I'm also encouraged to have seen Yorman Galindez (last pitched June 2024), Enniel Cortez (last pitched July 2024) and Eric Prado (last pitched September 2024) amongst the listed players in recent days.
