1. More high-level moves before last night’s games: - LHP Hoby Milner optioned from MLB Milwaukee to Triple-A Nashville. - RHP Miguel Sanchez selected from Triple-A Nashville to go to The Show. - RHP Ryan Weber recalled from Triple-A Nashville (where he hadn’t actually pitched yet, since being claimed from Boston). - OF Derek Fisher designated for assignment by MLB Milwaukee, so could be outrighted to Nashville in the unlikely event that he’s not claimed or traded to another club.
2. Lots of moves: - LHP Ethan Small & OF Jesus Lujano will join @nashvillesounds, from AA Biloxi and High-A Wisconsin respectively - OF Michael Wilson will join @CarolinaMudcats from MILB extended spring training - OF Arbert Cipion will join our Extended Spring Training group from Low-A Carolina - OF Dylan Cozens, OF Abimael Gonzalez, OF Zane Zurbrugg & INF Odrick Pitre have been released, the latter three from extended spring training - IF Jake Hager has been claimed off waivers by Seattle
3. Pablo Reyes is back in Nashville for a second stint and Luke Maile returns to the lineup after an apparently minor injury scare last week:
4. Korry Howell is back in the Timber Rattlers’ lineup, who begin their series against the Peoria Chiefs:
5. High-level moves: TODAY: - OF Dylan Cozens is leaving AAA Nashville to pursue his dream to play in the National Football League (and here I’d thought Lucas Erceg pitching was the strangest twist we’d see this year!). YESTERDAY: - RHP Jake Cousins selected from Triple-A Nashville to play for MLB Milwaukee. - RHP Zack Godley designated for assignment, so he may or may not return to AAA Nashville (most likely his choice, assuming no other team claims him or trades for him).
6. After a close loss in Game 1 of today’s doubleheader, Brooks Hall gets the ball for his second Shuckers start of the year: 1 - Lutz - RF 2 - Friis - 2B 3 - Turang - DH 4 - Castro - 1B 5 - Spanberger - LF 6 - Fry - 3B 7 - Devanney - SS 8 - Diaz - C 9 - Aguilar - CF X - Hall - P
7. Biloxi has a doubleheader today, with David Fry getting a start at his 6th position (RF) of the season thus far: 1 - Lutz - CF 2 - Friis - 2B 3 - Turang - SS 4 - Henry - C 5 - Castro - 1B 6 - Palma - DH 7 - Fry - RF 8 - Spanberger - LF 9 - Devanney - 3B X - Zavolas - P
8. Josh Lindblom is the scheduled starter for Nashville, but it looks like rehabbing Angel Perdomo may take the first inning: [EDIT] Mitch Longo started in right field instead of Cozens.
9. Korry Howell’s back and playing center field for the Timber Rattlers:
10. The Shuckers’ bats have come alive the past two nights and they now seek their first 3-game win streak of the year: 1 - Lutz - CF 2 - Friis - 2B 3 - Turang - SS 4 - Henry - C 5 - Castro - 1B 6 - Palma - DH 7 - Fry - RF 8 - Spanberger - LF 9 - Devanney - 3B X - Zavolas - P
11. Garrett Mitchell leads the Timber Rattlers, who are trying to break a 4-game skid. No doubt they’ll have more hits than yesterday’s game:
12. Nick Belzer’s on the mound, looking for his third straight victory, as are the Mudcats: 1 - Holt - DH 2 - Zamora - SS 3 - Gray - CF 4 - Valerio - 2B 5 - Warren - 1B 6 - Wiemer - RF 7 - Miller - C 8 - D. Castillo - 3B 9 - Cipion - LF X - Belzer - P
13. The Sounds ran out of position players, with Cooper Hummel and Luke Maile exiting early, forcing Bubba Derby to hit in the 9th inning. They’ll get Tim Lopes and Pablo Reyes (both optioned from MLB club) soon, but it’s worth watching whether 1-2 more players need to be added.
14. Wasn’t able to post the Shucker lineup earlier, led by the dominant Ethan Small: 1 - Lutz - LF 2 - Friis - 2B 3 - Turang - SS 4 - Henry - C 5 - Castro - 1B 6 - Palma - RF 7 - Erceg - DH 8 - Fry - 3B 9 - Aguilar - CF X - Small - P
15. Jamie Westbrook is swinging a hot bat for the Nashville Sounds - 9-game hitting streak with 1.307 OPS during streak:
16. Top prospect Garrett Mitchell returns to give the Wisconsin Timber Rattler offense a jolt:
17. Joe Gray Jr. (1.090 OPS, 42 RBIs in 37 games) and the Carolina Mudcats have won 4 of their last 5 games:

19. Bowden Francis seeks another strong start, after giving up no runs and 1 hit in 7 innings last time out:
20. Jesus Castillo gets the ball first for Biloxi, looking to right the ship on his season and the Shuckers’:
21. David Hamilton leads the Timber Rattlers and continues to turn heads (.811 OPS, 23 SB vs. 3 CS in 33 games):

23. An offense without Wong, Taylor, Shaw and Cain simply couldn't afford to sit Adames and Narvaez the same day. I hope Adames is physically and mentally fine. 3-4 ABs of him batting behind Garcia and we'd have probably cashed in opportunities.
24. Payton Henry is heating up (.881 OPS over past 12 games) as he tries to lead the Shuckers to a needed win: 1 - Lutz - RF 2 - Turang - SS 3 - Henry - C 4 - Palma - DH 5 - Castro - 1B 6 - Spanberger - LF 7 - Fry - 3B 8 - Devanney - 2B 9 - Aguilar - CF X - Bennett - P
25. Justin Bullock puts his 20-inning scoreless streak on the line for the Timber Rattlers, who will need his best with Howell (injured) and Mitchell (rest) out of the starting lineup:
