Transactions: OF Steward Berroa activated from MLB injured list and optioned to AAA Nashville C Andrick Nava transferred to Development List Game Action: Nashville Pre-Game Media Notes Final: Nashville 4, Charlotte 0 Box Score and Game Log Via the Sounds’ website, game details and we encourage readers to review affiliate write-ups as part of their Link Report routine: Sounds Blank Knights on Thursday Night SS Freddy Zamora (2-for-3, 2 RBIs, SB) was at the center of 3 of the Sounds’ 4 runs on Thursday night, doubling to open the scoring in the bottom of the 2nd inning, coming home on a fielders’ choice for the team’s second run and singling home DH Jeferson Quero (2-for-4, SB) in the 4th inning to extend the advantage to 3-0. On the mound, ol’ reliable RHP Garrett Stallings (acquired May 2024) stepped up with a 3-inning spot start (0 R, 3 H, 1 BB, 2 Ks; 48 pitches), stranding 4 baserunners in the first 2 frames, with a little help from the solid Sounds’ defense. LHP Robert Gasser had been penciled in to start, but Wednesday’s Media Notes had already shifted Stallings to the starter. We thank @Jim Goulart and @AdamMcCalvy for seeking out an explanation. RHP Easton McGee (2.2 IP, 0 R, 1 H, 1 BB, 2 Ks; 45 pitches) bounced back from being the final MLB Spring Training cut and conceding 2 runs on Saturday to continue Stallings’ shutout effort, retiring 8 of 10 batters faced. The 3-0 lead looked tenuous in the top of the 7th inning after LHP Drew Rom (1.1 IP, 0 R, 2 H, 0 BB, 1 HBP, 1 K) allowed consecutive singles and a hit-by-pitch to load the bases with one out, but he induced a jam shot 5-4-3 double play ball to 3B Brock Wilken to come out unscathed. The outfield of Greg Jones (.350 AVG), Luis Lara (.375 AVG) and Eddys Leonard (.333 AVG) continued their hot start to the season, each delivering a hit, including Lara’s 8th inning RBI single. Sounds’ Extras: RHP Jacob Waguespack put in a solid shift (1.2 IP, 0 R, 1 H, 1 BB, 3 Ks; 36 pitches) to nearly close it out before RHP Blake Holub got the final out – a strikeout swinging on just 3 pitches. Although Nashville outhit the Knights 8-7 and benefitted from two Charlotte errors, the Knights had an array of chances, stranding 10 baserunners as they put at least 2 baserunners aboard in each of the 1st, 2nd, 5th, 7th and 8th innings. Better offensive days are ahead for stud corner infield prospects Wilken (0-for-3, AVG .063) and 1B Luke Adams (0-for-2, HBP; AVG .000 through 14 ABs). Friday’s outlook: 25-year old RHP Coleman Crow is scheduled to make his second start of 2026, after a 4.2 IP, 1 R, 6 K outing on Saturday, seeking to lead Nashville to a 3-1 lead in the series. We hope that you enjoy the Minor League Link Report. I don’t recall seeing Melvin’s name on any of the MILB Spring Training lineup cards, so I’m just thrilled that he’s on an Opening Day roster.

Despite the victory, the Sounds were still on the short end of their season-opening 3-game series. Transactions: N/A Game Action: Nashville Pre-Game Media Notes Final: Nashville 6, Norfolk 2 Box Score and Game Log Via the Sounds’ website, game details and we encourage readers to review affiliate write-ups as part of their Link Report routine: Sounds Secure First Win of Season 6-2 Over Norfolk Starting LHP Tate Kuehner may not yet be on MLB.com’s Top 30 Prospects list for the Brewers, but the 25-year old continues to make his case, posting a 2.77 ERA in 23 AA/AAA starts in 2025 and now commencing the 2026 season with a 2-hit, 1-run, 5-K outing to lead Nashville to victory (5 2/3 IP). Per the linked game report, Nashville led wire-to-wire in this contest, with 3B Jett Williams reaching base and scoring in each of the 1st (HBP), 5th (walk) and 6th (infield single) innings. 25-year old DH Eddys Leonard had a solid MLB Spring Training (.400 AVG, .926 OPS in 19 plate appearances) and has now commenced his Sounds’ career with a 3-for-4 Saturday effort and 2-for-5, 2-RBI Sunday contribution. His 4th inning single wasn’t capitalized on, but his 5th inning double the other way extended Nashville’s lead from 1-0 to 3-0. OF/1B Tyler Black (playing left field in this game) had a mixed performance, delivering a 2-out, 2-run single in the 6th inning to grow Nashville’s lead to 6-1. He also drew a walk, but struck out 3 times. 28-year old RHP Kaleb Bowman (2.76 ERA in 45 2/3 IP in AA in 2025) had a successful AAA debut, striking out two of four batters faced in a scoreless 8th inning before LHP Sammy Peralta set aside his wild Friday outing to toss a 3-up, 3-down final frame on Sunday. Sounds’ Extras: Four hit-by-pitches by Tides’ hurlers thankfully didn’t result in any early exits by Sounds’ batters, although the one Norfolk batter hit-by-pitch (by Kuehner in the 2nd inning) unfortunately exited. Three of those Nashville batters came around to score. After the sudden MLB call-up of Jeferson Quero, C Andrick Nava (150 AA/High-A plate appearances last year with a .529 OPS) was pressed into action to make his AAA debut, reaching via walk in the 3rd inning and HBP in the 5th inning. He scored twice and threw out Norfolk’s only attempted basestealer to end the 4th inning. OF Greg Jones followed up his 5-for-8 season start with an 0-for-3, 3-K performance, but did reach base via a hit-by-pitch and score a run. He also stole a base. OF Luis Lara (1-for-4) doubled, walked and went 1-for-2 on stolen base attempts, SS Cooper Pratt (1-for-5) had an infield single and stolen base, while 1B Luke Adams (0-for-3) walked. 3B Brock Wilken had the day off. Next week’s outlook: AAA Nashville (1-2) has a travel day on Monday, but returns to action with a 6-game homestand against Charlotte (3-0) commencing Tuesday evening. High-A Wisconsin kicks off their 2026 campaign at home against Beloit on Thursday, while Low-A Wilson and AA Biloxi commence their seasons on the road on Friday. We hope that you enjoy the Minor League Link Report. On Monday, Brewers’ fan can catch Milwaukee’s home opener against the Rays at 6:40pm CST while Minor League afficionados keep an eye out for possible roster announcements by Biloxi, Wisconsin and/or Wilson. Sun. 3/29 - It'd Be Keen if the Sounds Don't Get Swept
Ro Mueller replied to Jim Goulart's topic in Brewers Minor League Talk
LHP Tate Kuehner (2.77 ERA in 110.1 AA/AAA IP in 2025) and the AAA Sounds need a Sunday win at Norfolk to avoid a 3-0 series sweep. RF Greg Jones is 5-for-8 with 3 RBIs and 2 SB thru 2 games. -

LHP Robert Gasser (2.39 ERA with 41 Ks in 37.2 AAA/MLB IP last year) and the AAA Nashville Sounds kick off the 2026 Minor League Baseball season with a 3-game series at Orioles’ affiliate Norfolk in Virginia. Each of SS Cooper Pratt, DH/3B Brock Wilken, CF Luis Lara and 1B Luke Adams are making their AAA debut.

6’4”, 247lb RHP Joe Corbett may also be on that Development List, since he’s also showing as Active, but missing from the press release. I’d thought maybe Easton McGee may take time to get to Nashville after being optioned, but I guess he’s ready to get straight to work. INF Luke Adams didn’t play in either of the Spring Breakout games (or other MLB or MILB spring training games recently), so it’s good to see him listed as Active.

Gotta wonder if that last lineup signals Fischer and Adamczewski commencing the season at High-A Wisconsin instead of AA Biloxi. We’ll know in a few days obviously. And this morning’s transaction log likely signals that Mark Manfredi and Brett Wichrowski will remain at AA Biloxi to start the year. Nashville’s Opening Day roster will obviously come out later today, with others likely to follow in a few days. -

- RHP Miles Langhorne released by High-A Wisconsin - RHP Aldrin Gonzalez released by ACL Brewers Langhorne from Connecticut was signed as a non-drafted free agent out of UNC Charlotte in July 2024. He debuted with Low-A Carolina in April 2025, posting a 3.33 ERA, 1.07 WHIP and 10.4 K/9 in 24.1 IP there before progressing to Wisconsin in June. Walks were a problem in High-A ball (14 BB in 14 IP), where he had an 8.36 ERA and 2.21 WHIP. Still just 22 years old and fresh off of pitching for Great Britain in the World Baseball Classic (0.2 IP, 0 R, 2 H, 0 BB, 1 K), we wish Miles success in his next opportunity. Now 19, Gonzalez was signed out of Venezuela in January 2023, rumored to already throw 95mph at signing. An immediate injury delayed his debut until July 2024 with DSL Brewers-2, posting a 4.85 ERA, 1.54 WHIP and 7.6 K/9 in 13.0 innings that season. In 2025, he made 2 DSL starts (5.2 IP, 3 R, 3 H, 2 BB, 2 HBP, 8 Ks) before making 6 relief appearances in the Arizona Complex League (18.41 ERA, 3.00 WHIP in 7.1 IP). Good luck to Aldrin in his next career and life adventure. -
