  1. Suter. Man couldnt we just let him finish on a high and go away
  2. Every once in awhile the offense needs to win a game. Maybe today is the day
  3. Yes. That would be the ultimate killer for this team
  4. The problem is the good relievers are losing games for us.
  5. Step forward then a step back for this team. You just want to find something to rely on
  6. And now boxberger is going to stink. Why walk the first hitter. Come on dude
  7. Despite gustave falling apart that strikeout of Bryant was huge
  8. I’m assuming we don’t have people to go to if he’s still in
  9. It wouldn’t be as rare as you think of there was more emphasis on it. These players could do it. If/when the exaggerated shifts go away it would be useful for hitters to emphasize this more
  10. Yep and if you look at Cain his ops drops when he strikes out more hiura would be a heckuva a player if he hit the ball more. But some people have intimated that it’s the brewers organization fault. If that is true than it’s just frustrating and frustrating to pro baseball as a whole
  11. Good job by gustave offense doing a heckuva job today and we still have to sweat this out. Lauer needs to be better
  12. He will give you more than a batter that never hits the ball at all. To oversimplify it plus Cain struck out a ton this year. His strike out rate was a lot higher than normal for him. He just sucks period
  13. Ooof. I guess lauer hasn’t turned a corner yet
  14. Without data I can tell you balls that are actually hit will result in infinitely more hits and runs than balls that aren’t hit at all
  15. That’s why you should be teaching fundamentals that enhance contact. The harder the ball comes in the harder it leaves the bat too. You just need to start making more contact and the ball will naturally be harder hit And the ability to measure spin has changed the game too Admittedly players are going to swing and miss more But for godsakes you can try to mitigate this somewhat Baseball lost its way a little when everyone was told it’s not a big deal to strikeout now in mlb the exaggerated shifts can hurt this but sometimes that’s the batters fault making himself so darn one dimensional as a hitter
  16. How crazy is that in which this really hurts the team
  17. To me the key in this day and age is hitting the ball. Making contact. A soft hit single is better than hard swinging strikeout. in 2022 I’ve told myself to not complain about infield hits etc because hitting the ball is infinitely better than not hitting ball. there are just too many swings and misses today plus fundamentals that encourage swings and misses from youth ball up until the major leagues. I’m at the point when I see a nubber drop in I just say good for him and not curse luck anymore
  18. Plus im assuming that if you get castellanos you don’t get rid of jbj. I don’t know how anyone can complain about that
  19. Whoa. I didn’t know he was getting this close to coming back
  20. Is it me or are the reds cubs and pirates playing better ball. They don’t seem like a soft touch anymore They’ve improved they will probably gut themselves at the trade deadline though
