Stearns is going to have to pull a few productive players out of his rear end. In this market I don’t think it will be easy the cardinals aren’t a juggernaut but they are favorites now. Their schedule is easier I believe and if run differential gives any kind of meaning to future performance they are just playing better

Brewers are still at 75 % to make playoffs and 66% to win division. People who follow all these predictive and analytical stats as gospel is just pure folly i do think it drives people away from the game.

This is the first year that I’ve actually had expectations for the brewers to be division winners. All the other years have been pleasant surprises. I saw the potential in this team before the year but there is a feeling I my stomach that it’s not right. What you are saying is the formula for winning has been underperforming. So they need to find something else. Over the long haul it’s not going to be enough. so we are relying on the unknown if trade deadline deals. Stearns has earned the right to feel optimistic about that. So let’s hope and add the fact that counsel has been terrible this year And I’m a huge counsel fan
