I think there is some of we have to turn around and play in a day. But we have a whole week off. I’m telling you we could throw two perfect games and win 20-0 with ten home runs these next two games and I do t think any of that carries over.
all that matter is injuries. That’s it. We might lose the next series because we do t have three starters right now. And a patched up relief staff. Not the vibes
We have a lot of hitters nursing hamstrings, bruised wrists, chronic back etc. the week off should be good. They will be firing along with the crowd. But I really don’t want a billion cubs fans here
They basically have a whole week off. I really don’t think these games are going to say much about how we play next week. They could be insanely hot and then still have a whole week off.
Here is what we need to do
frelick
chourio
yelich
contreras
vaughn
turang
collins
durbin
ortiz. And then pull his ass out when the bases are loaded
and be done with it. Set it and forget it
We could score ten runs every game for the next four games and still look terrible in the playoffs. We could look like crap now and still win in the playoffs. I don’t think these games portend anything. The only thing that matters is who is the next person to get hurt and be out of the playoffs
woodruff going down was way more significant than Chourio not getting a hit for 3 games Or whatever
Can you imagine if the cubs didn’t get swept in four games last weekend. I don’t know if anyone could have predicted that. We could have easily been still sweating a bunch of games this week. Thank god the cubs decided to end the race. And rather quickly.
My guess was a once you get back home at the end of the week you will see better games. Going out to the west coast for meaningless games is not a recipe for great baseball. I don’t think people should worry about it so much. Priester just needs to pitch without getting hurt tomorrow. That’s all that matters
Since these gams don’t matter I would love to see Murphy put out our best lineup once.
in no particular order. Yelich frelick Chourio collins. Vaughn Contreras Turang Durbin montesario. Just see what happens
Nobody limped into the playoffs more than than the 1982 brewers and they ended being one game away from winning the whole thing.
I think there a probably numerous points of data for or against Personally the week off probably changes that
im probably one of the few who doesn’t care about these games this week
Everyone seems so grouchy lately. The brewers hit their goals this season. Everyone else is still sweating out games. Enjoy this next week or two. We can worry about playoffs later.
These Peralta and Priester starts are going to have me on edge every inning. They need to walk out of here with zero discomfort. And then they need to be put in some hyperbaric chamber somewhere for the next two weeks.
