What do you expect it to be. The team hits .230 overall. Which is like 2 for every 9. I mean do you think they should be hitting .400 with risp every night.

I hope so. That is utterly ridiculous to not even try for three weeks. At some point there is a professional aspect. I get it for a game in football or maybe two or three games at the end of the year to get your pitching right. You’ve earned it. But to just basically not try for 20 games. Come on

I’m amazed that the braves aren’t even competing at all. Since they clinched. They are just giving up 15 runs every game. It’s ridiculous. We better win some games here. Cubs are going to whip up on the braves next week

I hate it when people say bottom of the roster guys don’t matter. Counsell can only play the guys who are on it. Who says some of those games that we can’t score if we had players other than rowdy Anderson or wiemer we might have won some of those. same goes with chafin

I don’t think of it as 6.5 right now. The cubs basically have 10 games to make up 3.5 games against us. If they do that then they control their own destiny going into those last three games. I would rather not get to that point. We really don’t need to lose 5 or 6 of these 7 games this week.

They might not make playoffs. Just a cautionary tale for us too. It can all go pear shaped in a week if you lose 5-6 in a row.
