    Who cares about how many pitches he's thrown....I care about how many RUNS he's going to give up!!!! Isn't that what having Obermueller and Jorge De La Rosa is for??? STOP THE DAMN WALKS TO LEAD OFF THE INNING...ESPECIALLY TO THE FRICKIN PITCHER!!!

    That was the quickest 9th inning I can remember in awhile. Mesa looks like Gagne out there. I predicted a 5-2 loss today. I was pretty close. I think we'll pick up the game tomorrow though.

    I'm watching the play-by-play on mlb.com and can't understand why Spivey is running???? Was it a hit and run? Overbay is whiffing so much today I can feel the breeze from Chicago. Lee's gotta win it with a HR cause no one else at the bottom of the order can do anything today.

    On another note aside from this game: Danny Kolb, in the 9th, just blew the gem today by Tim Hudson. Given up 3 runs so far in the inning after a few walks and base hits.

    Yost doesn't want Helms to have to endure the heap of boos he would receive.

    Yeah, I can see how that would be uncomfortable seeing Wes get booed. The thing is, he is STILL a Brewer and he shouldn't get that kind of a "welcome." Don't get me wrong, I don't want him to play over Cirillo or Russell the Muscle, but he did try his hardest to get into shape this off-season and he probably feels all the hard work was for nothing. "I probably shouldn't be hanging on every half-inning," Mark Attanasio said Monday, hours before Opening Day at Miller Park. "But for now, I am."

    What would people say if Yost started Wesley Helms tomorrow against Redman instead of Cirillo? I would love to see it, for the simple fact that this board would get really hot and heated on why Cirillo isn't playing. Actually, I WANT Jeff to play....it was nice to see the Brewers fans show him some love today...I'm sure he won't forget that.

    ANOTHER WALK TO START OFF THE INNING!!!!!! Doug is terrible with his command He wants players to swing at his junk. They know when they get 3 balls on them, TO TAKE! Throw strikes, idiot!

    He's getting out of those jams early. Too many walks. 1 per inning ain't gonna cut it. Sooner or later these teams are going to start to produce some runs from these walks. SETTLE DOWN DOUG!! THROW STRIKES!!!!!!!!

    You said it. A deserved loss. Very deserved. Had opportunities to hit in guys, blew those. Phelps comes in clueless. Blew that inning. Just terrible execution. I give Yost some blame for this loss too. I don't care what you say, Jenkins should've been bunting for a sacrifice last inning. Then the idiot K's. Not good. Probably revert back to last year's ways and get swept by the Pirates.

    0 = clutch hitting for Brewers. Against Glen Rusch. Terrible. Pathetic. Horrendous. Ghastly. I can't think of any other adjectives...but they all describe the Brewers hitters with guys in scoring position.

    Yeah, this game is not looking pretty. I feel an L coming today....our first blown game of many from this bullpen. I hope I eat my own words.

    In typical Wes Helms fashion, he grounds into a double play to kill the inning. Wow. It's pathetic for the Brewers if HE is the first option off the bench. Terrible.

    Let's hope the Vampire strikes during the day!!! It should be decent weather out there for him....GO GET 'EM VIC! I'll take that 8-3 start from last year that he got off to.

    We gonna put up 9-10 runs every game? POTENT LINEUP!!! On another note...good to see Damian Miller have a good game today too (he got lost in all the 3TO hype on this board today). He and Doug should combine for quite a few W's this year.

    Yeah, AJAY I was watching Comcast too from Loyola Chicago here. It was a BOMB. Cleared the blue monster in CF...he's a big boy. I know there's plenty more of those left in his bat.

    Obie can't be much worse than he was last season. Every time he came in, I expected a whole heap of runs to be scored on him. He frankly is very very average. He hits better than he pitches...and being a pitcher in the bigs, that's not a compliment.

    Ugly WIN for Ben Hendrickson....is anyone else convinced he doesn't have the mental makeup to pitch to big leaguers? I get a sick feeling whenever he pitches....it isn't pretty.
