  1. I agree completely Hiura was dreadful last year … 42% strike out rate (worst in MLB) … only made contact 68% of the time with balls in strike zone (4th worst in MLB) … I hope he plays elsewhere in 2023 I can’t fathom bringing back McCutcheon for another season either … I’d rather see Wiemer get a chance - even if he struggles as a rookie
  2. I want this to be true, but I’m not sure he has any value to another MLB team. I believe his salary is $2M … not sure anyone will take that on “hoping” they can resurrect his career. The fact that he’s out of options could lead to a DFA - which I would prefer over keeping him on the roster.
  3. He’s had plenty of opportunities & he’s been terrible for three years … it appears 2019 was the exception … what we’ve seen since is the norm … time for a change in scenery
  4. I would have loved Myers on this team … quite disappointed that we lost out on him & Drury (assuming we were bidding on one or the other) I fear we will have to trade away some top-level talent to secure a solid RH bat I know there are a few months before Spring Training … but we need more offense than is currently on the 40-man roster
  5. I sighed a huge sigh of frustration when I saw both the Drury & Myers #’s … both are contracts that would have fit nicely on this team & would have been reason to cheer. I’m quite under-impressed with the current roster. I hope Hiura is not in FO plans for 2023.
  6. I hope you are correct … I believe it is in the best interest of both parties. I know I’m tired of seeing him strike out. His defense is horrid. An occasional breath-taking HR doesn’t offset his many deficiencies. Time for a change - hopefully a “change of scenery” type trade.
  7. Singleton seems redundant. He would make sense if we trade Tellez for a RH hitting 1B … otherwise, I believe he will lose his spot on the 40-man roster.
  8. Should we be counting on Cousins & Topa for bullpen in 2023? It seems injuries this year kept them from contributing. Hopefully both are healthy & able to add value next season.
  9. I fear Milwaukee may have missed out on their best opportunity to “unload” Ethan Small in a trade at this year’s deadline His low velocity coupled with his lack of control (leading to far too many walks) will keep him from making an impact for the Brewers at the big league level I dont see him getting any better Wish we had traded him & a few other minor leaguers for a decent bat

  11. How about Hiura & a top 20-30 pitcher for Bell

  13. No thank you No thank you No thank you No thank you No thank you No thank you Not sure Laureano is the CF we need … especially if it involves Frelick, Mitchell, Lutz, Quero, Turang & certainly not Chourio in return Hoping we don’t drain the prospect talent for a mediocre return I would be okay with a few players being traded - Gray comes to mind … maybe even Small … but I want to see some of our home grown talent make it to Milwaukee in the next few years

  15. Any chance Wiemer or Frelick get a bump to Nashville as part of this shuffle?

  17. How is this shocking? Sad, maybe … but predicted & requested by most rational Brewers fans It makes sense that management waited until his 10th anniversary in the bigs - almost an agreed upon time for his release Great guy, but the Brewers improved with this transaction Whether or not Davis is the long term solution it makes sense that he gets first opportunity before the trade deadline in six weeks

  19. He would be a great addition to the 2022 Brewers lineup for sure
  20. Charlie Moore is one of my all-time favorite Brewers Funny connection: We actually dated sisters … but several years apart I saw many of his games when he played for AA Shreveport Captains in the early 70’s … he was extremely kind to me I have an autographed picture of him (attached) from 1982 on my office wall My wife created a replica of our older son when he was in little league I’m actually in the bleachers in the Moore photo too Charlie Moore had a cannon (like Renfroe) from RF loved this article ?
  21. Thanks, Brock - This is more helpful to me than you may realize I have an eye issue that makes it extremely challenging for me to read unless an article is in dark mode I read everything on my iPad & MacBook with a black background & white font I appreciate your response to this request
