Disclaimer: I can be an old curmudgeon from time to time … but I will never understand grown men with hair like this new Miami relief pitcher. He looks completely silly … similar to the guy in Atlanta. Sadly, I had a similar look (mullet … business up front, party in the back) in the early 90’s. I wish someone had loved me enough to tell me the truth. 😁

I’m still not a fan of extra inning rules - starting an inning with a runner on 2nd base made sense in the pandemic. It is not “true” baseball. Some of my favorite baseball memories are lengthy, late night extra innings games that lasted five to six hours. I don’t like the current model. Cheapens the game.

What a terrible week of baseball. No wins since an ugly one on Monday. This team has not gelled. Injuries are only part of the story. We have a deficiency in major league talent when compared to most of our opponents.
