    Yeah, well. I was just trying to say that the Brewers have not got a lot of gushing like, say. the Elly DLC Reds (e.g.) have gotten. I AM INDEED trying to say that "slow and steady wins the race," as some Greek guy said some time ago. Cheers!

    Too many things -good and bad- going on in my house to savor the win. But I did get to hear most of it while portraying an orca in the little pool with my 5yo grandson. Let's just say I was the cheeriest orca you ever saw!

    TBH, I thought it was no big deal to trade him because I didn't think THAT much of his hitting. (Reason 78,965 why I am not a GM.) Maybe he needed to be "rejected" before he could bear down and shine.

    There was some debate here recently about what is the "ceiling" for this road trip. But the only sure thing, so far, is that we have found the floor. Yeah, it was against the high and mighty Dodgers, but 3 runs in 3 games will pretty much always get you 3 losses. (And you can't write off that level of miserable consistency as simply "bad luck"!) The road doesn't get any easier tonight. Blechchchch.

    Notice how the talking sports herd has never gushed (so far) about the "red hot" Brewers? And yet, somehow, we have been in or near first place for 3+months. Go figure. Steady wins the race!
