One of these games, I am going to ignore ESPN and MLB.com &c., and rely solely on this board to keep me informed about the game. Alcohol will be on hand.

I just do NOT understand how our relievers can't produce 4 or 5 scoreless innings while we score at least 2 in every inning we bat! Baseball, bughghghghgh!!

After that 14-game winning streak, I started to deceive myself that we should win every game. That's stupid in any sport (even for me), but especially in baseball. But we'VE made it so far, with a decent lead, .... and, as has been noted: CUBS LOSE! CUBS LOSE! CUBS LOSE!

Laurie R. King. A Sherlock Holmes story narrated by his 1920s wife. What one might charitably call brain candy or chewing gum for the mind. But it's the 11th in a series, so I can't be too snobby! 😅😇 definitely enjoying the baseball more.

Reading a lightweight "mystery" novel, while listening to Brewer radio, which is a little bit ahead of ESPN game cast, and then looking up to see the TV broadcast which is at least 10 seconds late. I love baseball season!!
