  1. Urias caught that ball. Nah, but it still didn't make a difference.
  2. Gents, that was a fun series. Thanks for letting me pass through and enjoy the series with you all. It was definitely a lot of tough luck for you all and some timely fortune in the Braves favor, but I don't remember a more nail-biting series for me as a Braves fan. Looking forward to more series with you all in the future. There should be plenty.
  3. He's a jagoff. Pretty much this. He's an obnoxious diva and hasn't earned the rep he wishes he had.
  4. Those are pretty good seats actually. Most seats at the stadium are solid. Even the top deck area is still not bad.
  5. One of the biggest issues is that the Braves fan base is massive...but most of the die-hards I know aren't in the Atlanta area. Thanks to TBS in the 90s and early 2000s, we have one of the most spread out fanbases, maybe in sports.
  6. Glad to be here. You all are good people. Honestly, I bowed out yesterday after the Joc HR because I know how annoying it can be to having a rival fan posting when things aren't breaking your way. Looking forward to tonight, though! Don't feel good about Charlie starting and I'm weary of Heredia getting 3+ ABs in a playoff game, but here we are. Speaking for myself, it's real easy to get into abstracting other teams and their fanbases. It's nice to be reminded that there's plenty of folks who deserve to be happy if it goes the Braves way. I shouldn't have to be reminded of that, of course, but sports does funny things to your brain. Good luck. Ha, couldn't be more true. My best friend is a Philly fan and I honestly think he's the only one I would like. They are, of course, the worst fans in sports. Most Atlanta fans are either social fans or just kinda clueless, but a lot are decent enough people.
  7. I thought it was odd enough that Soler was a leadoff hitter. I think he has a .316 OBP. You and thousands of Braves fans alike. I think they were just trying to replicate what we lost in Acuna. Or the offense just clicked at the right time regardless of who was leading off. Though I will say he's had a .358 OBP since joining Atlanta. He seems like a classic "plays as well or as bad as his team's overall situation" kinda guy. He'll be in Philly next year.
  8. Nice to have you here, Bravos....interesting having an insider look at the similar lineup situation on your side.
  9. According to Karl Ravech: Christian Pache will now hit leadoff and play RF for the Braves. Jorge Soler was in the original lineup. No way in hell we'd put him at leadoff. I'm guessing Dansby moves up and they start Rosario in LF and slide Joc to RF.
  10. I disagree. It's stupid on the Braves' part. In his career he's been terrible against left-handed pitching. Better this year, but a small sample. Statistically it's probably not smart, but pearl boy is a streaky hitter in general. I've picked him up and dropped him plenty in fantasy baseball this year and played his streaks. If he's seeing it well, it might not be THAT stupid. The Braves manager it sounds like goes with his gut/feel vs analysis more often than he should...which is absolutely fine with me. Yep. He's as old-school as they come. Much to our collective chagrin here in Atlanta. The place to start him was games 2 and 3.
  11. Yeaaaaaa, color me unconfident with Morton today. I hate exposing him to the same lineup in just a 4-day span.
  12. Guys. I really hope you don't hear this as me being patronizing... I'm sorry. That sucks in playoff baseball. We've been there so many times.
  13. Nice pitch by Peralta there. This game feels eerily similar to game 1. Braves are making some good contact and putting runners in position, but can't break through. The longer you all stay in this game, the more confident those hitters will be stepping up against our "bullpen"
  14. Don't worry guys, Duvall will find a way to make a baserunning error here.
  15. Don't like that rule. That seemed like a clear catch. Even as a Braves fan, I feel a little weird about that being ruled a hit or an error.
  16. Tend to agree. Seemed like, at worst, it was fielded right at the line.
  17. What's the overall scoop on Peralta? He's still pretty young and this is clearly his breakout season as a starter. Is he viewed as a legit ace-type long term? I love his slider.
  18. Was just thinking the same thing, which is weird for us Braves fans because it's rarely the case for us.
  19. AND THAT'S BRAVES BASEBALL, MY BREW CREW BRETHREN! Nothing quite like playoff baserunning blunders to define this Atlanta team. Good lord...
  20. If this goes 5 games, Brewers got this. I honestly think we need to stand up at home today and tomorrow or else it's over for us. Burnes is just so tough at home. If we lose today, I expect Morton tomorrow and Fried for a game 5 if necessary. Should be fun. You all have a really fun squad to follow. If we don't get past you, I'll be rooting for you all for sure.
