    But the question was "worst lost" not the one with the most emotional impact. Objectively, 1982 was a worse loss than any since even if its a distant memory for some with out the pain. I was not around for WW II but I can objectively state that that was a worse war than those since then even though emotionally the recent wars have effected me to a much greater extent.

    Yeah I'm 55 and have horribly vivid memories of that loss. That and the Packers playoff melt down in Seattle haunt me

    This is where I am at - we are currently running with one true "Ace" on the pitching staff - I want to maximize his rest and opportunities in the NLCS. I also think it sends a message to the team that we are confident enough to look at next step. Between that and maximizing your bullpen if there is a game 5 I thinks it's the right call. Doesn't mean it will work out perfectly but I like the odds better overall.

    You just can’t waste an Ortiz hit by not brining him in. Best way to protect a hammy is to jog around the bases

    I believe this will be the lasting issue from this game. It is clear that if the Packers are not applying a great amount of pressure their cornerbacks are just not good enough to hold up for even an average amount of time for the opposing QB to throw. This is a problem that is not going away because you are not finding a couple of good coverage CBs at this point. Unfortunately this was foreseeable and was a mystery why CB was not addressed early in the draft this year (or last year)
