  1. This was clearly a “we want Chicago to win the division” type of call. Horrible.
  2. I think they definitely need a bullpen arm, if not 2. It's not even so much about the trust, but these guys are getting overworked. And the backend of this bullpen is just not good at all. Getting Koenig back is good, but whatever is happening with Patrick isn't good. And a guy they probably counted on improving-Yoho, has obviously not happened. They need more arms that can pitch in those games where they are only down a run or 2 and can keep it close to give them a chance.
  3. It was because of a scheduling thing with the World Cup being played across the street to aleviate the congestion and parking.
  4. I was actually irritated when I got to the game last night to see they were wearing them.
  5. Whew! Glad I was wrong. I'll continue to think the sky is falling the moment something is announced until proven otherwise.
  6. But wouldn't you want him playing rather than riding the bench?
  7. Do we really think they are gonna call up Quero to play 1 out of every 6 days? It's gotta be Wild Bill.
  8. Scratch that. Doesn't sound good. We just can't have nice things.
  9. The NLDS doesn't start till Oct. 4/5 so it does make good sense. Give him rest. I feel confident he wouldn't need a start to knock off any rust.
  10. Gasser on, Woodruff to IL
  11. To make room for Gasser, Woodruff put on 15 day Il. Perfect.
  12. Watching on YouTubeTV tonight and not having to deal with FanDuel. I constantly have to leave the game and then enter it again because of buffering and then the sound and game don't match up. I'm glad I get to watch without dealing with that tonight.
  13. Don't even think about tomorrow. Get tonight's game. Leave Chicago no worse than 7 games up. Lose tonight and then a very tough game tomorrow and limp out going 1-4 and they are only 5 GB? It's game on. Give the Cubs new hope while we've lost 5 of 6. Not an ideal situation. In 2018, Brewers were 6 GB on August 28. We all know what happened. This is far from over.
  14. I can't believe the game hasn't been called yet. The tarp was just pulled onto the field. They start letting people in soon and also gotta pay vendors for what I'd say is 50/50 chance at best to get the game in. And with the Cubs history of calling games vs us, this is very odd. But I got nothing to do tonight, so I'll wait it out as long as needed!
