  1. The Mudcats are up 5-0 in the bottom of the 8th and Jesus Rivero cannot throw a strike. He's already walked 2 hitters and is down 2-1 on the third hitter of the inning.
  2. Mejias gets down in the count 3-1 then gives up a line drive bullet HR to RF. It's 6-0 Montgomery. Looking like Biloxi is going to need to win the final 3 games of the series to get into the playoffs.
  3. Mejias walks Murray. It's bases loaded with 0 outs. Going to need a miracle to keep this game close.
  4. Mejias first pitch to Murray is way outside and goes to the backstop. Runners on 2nd and 3rd with 0 outs. This one is getting late early.
  5. Mejias walks Peters to lead off the 6th inning and Caminero reaches on a chopper to 3rd that Wilken would probably want a second chance on. It's 1st and 2nd with 0 outs. Things aren't looking good for Mejias and Biloxi.
  6. Mejias just gave up an absolute bomb with 2 outs in the 5th. 2-run HR. It's 2-0 Montgomery through 5. Biloxi's offense is going to have to show up. They haven't shown much outside of that big 7 run inning in this series.
  7. Patricio Aquino has twirled an absolute gem tonight. 6 IP, 4 H, 0 ER, 0 BB, 5 SO, 1 HBP and he's at 80 pitches. I imagine he's done for the day, but we shall see.
  8. Wilken with a 105 EV blast to CF that I imagine was only caught because the wind blew it back in. Shuckers have looked like the better team today. Just not getting balls to drop.
  9. Biloxi and Montgomery are still sitting at 0-0 through 3 innings. Biloxi's defense has turned 2 double plays already.
  10. He can come back up if someone goes on the IL. That's more likely than adding Gasser to the 40-man for 1 start when he's not Rule 5 eligible this offseason.
  11. Juan Baez singles, Guilarte walked, Castillo singled to LF and Baez scored on a close play at home. Guilarte advanced to 3B on the throw home. O'Rae then hits a liner to LF for a sac fly. It's 2-0 Mudcats in the 5th.
  12. Aquino pitches out of it! He strikes out the first hitter to get it to 2 outs then induced a swinging bunt on an 0-2 count from the next hitter. Sibrian made the play at 1B to end the inning.
  13. Sounds like Areinamo is having a very rough night in the field so far. Just had an error followed up by a single. It's 1st and 3rd for the Wood Ducks with 1 out in the 4th. Score 0-0
  14. Tristan Peters just robbed Quero of extra bases at the wall in LF. If he doesn't make that catch it's probably 2-0 Biloxi.
  15. You're losing quite a bit in defense going from Wiemer to Anderson in the OF. Not sure that sacrifice is worth it for the hopes of Anderson at the plate cause he's been quite awful at the plate lately as well.
  16. Oh boy. Hopefully he looks better than he did last week in Wisconsin. If not Biloxi could be playing from behind early.
  17. Max Lazar strands the bases loaded. Strikes out the first hitter on 3 pitches and gets the next hitter to ground into a double play to end the inning. Bases loaded no outs to inning over with no additional runs on 5 pitches. Round of applause for Max Lazar.
  18. Middendorf gives up a chopper between him and 1B. He boots it and then totally gives up on the ball despite the out still being there at 1B. 4-1 Montgomery with runners on 1st and 2nd and 0 outs. He gives up another roped single to RF to the next hitter. It's 4-1 Montgomery with the bases loaded and 0 outs. Disastrous outing from Middendorf.
  19. Middendorf about to put these one out of reach for Biloxi. He's given up to very hard hit ground ball singles to open the 8th. 1st and 3rd with 0 outs.
  20. It was most definitely not Russell Smith unless Russell Smith now throws with his right hand.
  21. And he decides to throw Shane Smith into this situation in his first AA appearance. Smith gets out of it with a lineout double play from Tristan Peters. 3-1 Montgomery going into the bottom of the 7th
  22. A bit shocked that Guerrero brought Rodriguez back out for the 7th after he gave up some hard contact in the 6th on the 3rd time through. Lead-off BB and infield swing bunt hit and now he's going to the pen. This could be out of hand pretty quickly for Biloxi.
  23. Lamar Sparks gets an awful jump on a bloop down the RF line and then has it fall out of his glove for a double. With even a decent jump that's an out. A wild pitch brings the runner to 3B which draws the IF in then the Montgomery hitter has a bloop over the SS head which likely is caught with the IF at normal depth. Just everything going wrong for Biloxi this inning.
  24. Peters must have been sitting changeup and Rodriguez left it slightly up and hit it well out of the park to RF. 2-0 Montgomery.
  25. Don't think the ump had missed a single call before that one either. Wasn't really that close either.
