  1. Also with Myers he can't be recalled from AAA until 9/3 because he needs to be down for 15 days. It would require an IL stint to get him back up.
  2. Id guess it’s Patrick not Myers. Myers just isn’t stretched out to be an actual starter. He hasn’t had a fully stretched out start in over a month in a half.
  3. Frankly I thought he did a really good job there staying composed while falling over multiple times making sure he touched the base correctly.
  4. Is anyone else a bit perplexed by the Middendorf release? With his release Biloxi only has 12 pitchers on their active roster and frankly I'm not sure I see anyone from Wisconsin getting promoted. Are there some guys coming off the IL that will be there to help them?
  5. Hasn't been announced yet so must be very recent. Looks like he last started in the KBO on 8/6 so some time in the last two weeks.
  6. That feels hard to believe especially if Turang's improvement with the bat is real. Trading him 2 years from now would be trading him with 2 years of control remaining though with Turang it would be Arb 3 and Arb 4. When is the last time the Brewers traded a good starting caliber position player with 2 years of team control remaining while not rebuilding or selling?
  7. Not even sure Rodriguez will still be up by then considering Woodruff isn't the listed starter for Sunday. Brewers have that listed as TBA. They might recall Chad Patrick for a spot start on Sunday which would push everyone else back a day to make their next start on 5 days rest. I agree though. What the plan for Misiorowski is seems uncertain. Certainly in the moment it feels like it was a mistake not to give him a rehab start to kind of build himself back up a bit. Not only did they do that they also started him on game 1 of the 19 in 18 stretch which guarantees him to start 4 times during the stretch. I feel like the Henderson injury might have forced their hand a bit. Considering it was either Myers or Misiorowski for game 1 of the 19 in 18 stretch and Myers wasn't full stretched out either.
  8. Now that the Brewers secured the 2-3 series against the Cubs which was all they really needed, can we please get some longer starts out of our rotation. Our relievers might die by the end of this 19 in 18 stretch if your starters keep this up. Our rotation averaged 4.6 IP per start during games 1 to 8 of the 19 in 18 stretch. Our SP have only gotten an out in the 6th inning in 3 of the 8 starts.
  9. Payne hit a hard grounder unfortunately right at the second baseman in his 2nd AB
  10. There are a lot more moves but I’m just sharing this one. Brady Ebel was assigned to Carolina
  11. Yeah seems like they are really easing him in in terms of both role and usage which is fine by me especially with the big lead in both the division and the race for the bye. Having him right by the playoffs is the priority.
  12. They haven't topped my original prediction but they had already topped my Chourio's injury is more series than expected panic prediction with the win on Saturday
  13. I'd guess it's a money thing? Split doubleheader is two games of gate revenue?
  14. That's not true on the 0 rest part. Miller hasn't pitched on 0 days rest yet as a Brewer.
  15. I personally am very okay with this as it looks like tomorrow is a wind blowing in day rather than more of a cross wind like today was.
  16. Dinges is going to need 2 DH days a week as he's not catching 6 games a week.
  17. Yeah you get Chourio in that lineup and it's 7 deep with above average MLB hitters and Durbin/Seigler aren't slouches hitting 8th. Ortiz is kind of the classic old school SS. Amazing glove but can't hit this year.
  18. Cristian Montilla is another who started really slow and has come on strong here to end the season. .442 OPS in June, .621 OPS in July, 1.022 OPS In August not counting a 3-4 day today.
  19. I mean those stats just lack context so yeah using them to justify that he was about to blow up due to what I assume is fatigue is just cherry picking. 1. Those pitches are almost entirely from when he was starting which isn’t relevant to him as a RP 2. 25-60 is a massive range of pitches for a guy who was never going to touch 40-60 pitches yesterday Also this completely ignores that Murphy said Myers would have faced Marte if the error didn’t happen. Clearly this superficial pitch limit was not something that was on the Brewers mind.
  20. I think it’s correlated. They are both hitting the ball really hard. Typically speaking the harder you hit the ball in the air the more likely it is to be a hit. In small samples when you’re really hitting the ball hard, you’re probably going to run really high BABIP and ISO numbers
  21. Yeah all those numbers say is that Tobias struggled as a SP this year which is hugely irrelevant to him pitching out of the bullpen today. If we want to agenda post with small sample sizes. Tobias as a RP had a .286 OPS against coming into today.
  22. I mean that logic really just makes no sense and actually makes me more annoyed by the decision. The tying run was on 1st base with 1 out. Who cares about a ground ball or fly ball.
  23. Jansen trade was a few days before the deadline so he was active as a Brewer on 7/29 which means he was on the team when they lost to the Cubs on 7/30.
