  1. We are starting a 2026 version of our "Injury Updates" thread. This will be pinned to the top of our Minor League Forum. As our source "ARobsBrewCrew" has indicated in the past - "Let me know what players you would like injury updates on, and I will do my best to deliver." Here are reminders about the updates ARob has already provided since the start of 2026 (all separate from our Frank Cairone thread, which is now paused with the most recent update and will stand on its own as a distinct thread.) 1/6: "RHP Jack Hostetler made some throws today for the first time since undergoing Tommy John surgery last summer. He should be on track to return to game action late in the 2026 season, but, of course, that timeline is very fluid at this point." 1/20: "RHP Josh Knoth is now full-go off of the mound and slated for a normal spring training. He is one of the numerous talented hurlers returning from injury in 2026 in what is, objectively, the deepest system of young pitching in the sport." 1/28: "Perhaps one of the most intriguing names to follow going forward, I’m happy to share that RHP Cole Phillips (MiLB Rule 5 selection from Seattle) made his first throws coming back from July 2025 surgery after injuring his flexor during a bullpen session while rehabbing from February 2024 Tommy John surgery (his second TJ). Phillips has yet to make his professional debut after being drafted by the Braves in the 2nd round of the 2022 Draft." *** Occasionally we may see an update from someone other than ARob in this thread. I can report that RHP Chase Costello (last pitched for Biloxi on May 23rd) had Tommy John surgery early fall 2025 and he will be out this entire coming season. He has been rehabbing and doing amazingly well at the training facility in Arizona. Indications are he'll be back and as strong as ever next year.
  2. Friday 1/30: WTMJ's "Brewers Weekly" with Dom Cotroneo - "The Brewers formally introduced Brandon Sproat and Jett Williams to the Milwaukee media this week and Dom shares some of the best clips from that session. This week in Brewers baseball also featured plenty of non-roster invitee news, prospect rankings, and Dom's rant on MLB Network botching their top 100 right now rankings." Thursday 1/29: Via the Wisconsin Sports Radio Network's "Inside Wisconsin Sports with Trevor and Josh": Jeff Levering - Brewers talk begins at the 3:00 minute mark Via David Gasper's "Brewers Daily" YouTube page: "Brewers Sign C Reese McGuire to MILB Deal" Locked on Brewers with Chuck Freimund - "Settled? Brewers Roster, Brandon Woodruff Outlook, and Should They Sign a Veteran Arm?" Via the "Inside Wisconsin" Podcast with Trevor Thomas and Dario Melendez: "Brewers new 3rd base coach Matt Erickson (9:00 minute mark) pulled up to Inside Wisconsin with Trevor & Dario like: “Yep… wave ‘em home.” Appleton-born, Brewers alum, Timber Rattlers legend—a cheesehead through & through (probably bleeds ranch and optimism). We talk roots, ball, and the fine art of sending dudes from 2nd like it’s a Kwik Trip run." (YouTube version also available)

  5. Tuesday 1/27: WTMJ's "Brewers Weekly" with Dom Cotroneo - "This is last Thursday's episode, now posted in full. "Peralta Goes to the Mets. Now What?" Via the Journal Sentinel Podcast: "Brewers reporter Todd Rosiak and host JR Radcliffe discuss the Freddy Peralta deal in greater depth, including the perception of a salary dump, the loss of Tobias Myers and more. Todd also discusses his Hall of Fame vote and how he weighs the "character clause." Who's the next Brewers Hall of Famer? Is it somebody ... already on the ballot? Plus a look at a prospect-heavy group of non-roster invitees ... could any of them make the team out of camp?" 7. Monday 1/26: Via Dom Cotroneo's "Brewers All Access" feed: "Let's talk pitching! Former Brewers closer and current Director of Pitching Jim Henderson joined Dom for an interview last week. Keep in mind as Dom notes at the start of the show, this was recorded hours before the Freddy Peralta trade came across the wire. But Jim offers insight on the Brewers process in the playoffs, how the machine seems to keep working no matter who is on the mound, and his journey shifting into the coaching ranks." 8. Sunday 1/25: Latest Milwaukee Tailgate Podcast - "The Brewers finally made the move we'd been waiting for all winter and dealt Freddy Peralta for the Mets for a pair of top 100 prospects. Jaymes, Paul and Ryan looked at it from both long-term and short-term perspectives, how it impacts the rest of the roster and what else we're hoping to see now that it's done."
  9. We can put to bed the notion of a late Jackson Chourio winter league reactivation, as his Zulia squad was eliminated on Sunday.
