Maracaibo - The star Jackson Chourio is ready for action and proudly wear the uniform of the Zulia Eagles, in a new season of the Venezuelan Professional Baseball League.
The outfielder, who has just turned his second campaign in the Major Leagues with the Milwaukee Brewers, will begin his participation with the rapacious team starting this Thursday, December 18.
"I'm very happy to play again in my country, and with my hometown team. I think that, at this time, it is a good opportunity to help my teammates achieve the goal of being champions," said Chourio.
Chourio, who in 2025 became the youngest player to achieve multiple seasons with 20 or more home runs and 20 or more stolen bases in Major League history, will join the team during the tenth week of the championship, according to his agent César Suárez.
For the 21-year-old, it will be his fifth harvest as an eaglet. Since his debut in the 2021-2022 season, he has a .293 average with 63 hits, including 16 extra-base hits, 33 runs scored and 18 RBIs.

Chourio's Zulia Eagles are currently 24-23, in what appears to be a very balanced league (standings page). There is normally a "Round Robin" stage of the postseason, and then formal final playoff matchups. As such, the extent of a potential end date for Chourio is to be determined.
