Yes on Zavier Warren being a minor league FA after 2026. Teams can place up to 38 Rule 5 eligible players on the AAA paper roster prior to the Rule 5. Teams normally are closer to 32-34 to leave room to pick players for themselves in the Minor League Phase. That formal roster is hardly ever made available, so players don't know if they were exposed or not (unless chosen by another club). Because the Brewers don't have more than 38 players to protect, conceivably they could spare everyone from the Minor League Phase. However, some players may be exposed as a "favor of sorts" to provide a chance elsewhere if not in the organization's plans. This also potentially saves the player the stain of a November release, though if not chosen by another organization, that release would likely come by spring training regardless.
