Image courtesy of BrewerFanatic Transactions: Via Adam McCalvy's Brewers.com article on the official signing of 1st round pick Andrew Fischer - "In addition to Fischer, the Brewers announced the signings of the following players from their 2025 Draft class: LHP J.D. Thompson (Round 2), LHP Frank Cairone (Round 2 Supplemental), RHP Jacob Morrison (Round 3), Flores (Round 4), RHP Sean Episcope (Round 5), SS Daniel Dickinson (Round 6), OF Josiah Ragsdale (Round 7), RHP Hayden Vucinovich (Round 8), LHP Andrew Healy (Round 9), RHP Braylon Owens (Round 10) and C Rylan Mills (Round 18). Milwaukee also has signed the following non-drafted free agents: RHP Jarrette Bonet, RHP Thomas Conrad, C/OF Malachai Halterman, RHP Caleb Nieman, RHP Peyton Niksch and RHP Tanner Perry." Nashville Pre-Game Media Notes Final: Charlotte (White Sox) 3, Nashville 0 Box Score and Game Log Via the Sounds, game details, and we encourage readers to review affiliate write-ups as part of their Link Report routine: Sounds Blanked for Second Straight Game by Knights - Cameron Extends On-Base Streak to 10 as Hitting Streak Comes to an End You'll find the wild pitch and departure at the 02:40:00 hour/minute mark here (for MiLB.TV subscribers). The linked game summary does a fine job of detailing RH starter Chad Patrick's out-of-character first inning (three consecutive walks after an initial flyout). Patrick was his normal effective self after that, though his itch count spiked to 96 through five innings (eight K's plus the long first frame). Jeferson Quero remains sidelined since leaving Wednesday's game, when his left arm was impacted on a swipe tag while on defense (hat tip to that night, again via Adam McCalvy). As the roster fluidity roils all season long, ranging from drought to bounty, it's a dry moment in time for Manager Rick Sweet. Infielder Raynel Delgado was his only non-catcher bench option on Friday. RH reliever Justin Yeager has faced just one over the minimum (a single) in three one-inning outings since his overdue promotion from Biloxi. You'll find Chad Patrick and Oliver Dunn video clips at the team's "X" timeline. Biloxi Pre-Game Media Notes Final: Biloxi 3, Rocket City (Angels) 2 Box Score and Game Log Catch up with the latest Biloxi pre-game audio interview archives - includes RHP Alexander Cornielle's chat Warren's Double, Kuehner's Strong Start Leads Shuckers to 30th Home Win - Shuckers earn 30th home win in comeback fashion over Trash Pandas From the game summary, there's little doubt who this squad's ace is in 2025: "Over his last six starts, Tate Kuehner has allowed four earned runs in 31.0 innings, a 1.16 ERA, with 37 strikeouts." Kuehner actually pitched into the 7th, but that inning began with a line drive single and a walk before he was lifted at 86 pitches. Both runners would eventually cross the plate (one unearned on a subsequent error). Here is one of the very few reasons all-everything Zavier Warren remains in his Mayor's Office in Biloxi and not Nashville - the Shuckers had one non-catcher bench player Friday, but wait, not really. Mike Boeve last played nearly two weeks ago, on July 13th. Prior to the 165-player stateside roster limit, the organization would have picked up additional minor league free agents or indy ball signings to supplement affiliate rosters. When you see a player slumping (hello Cooper Pratt, .520 OPS in 13 July games), or perhaps a player being forced into a lineup through a nagging minor injury, we can thank the not-so-insightful cost-cutters across the MLB upper hierarchy. Imagine what even an extra five available slots would do for this system right now, Thankfully defense rarely tires - And no, we don't know why Boeve has been absent, we rarely do. The Shuckers "X" feed has a couple of more highlights this AM. Wisconsin Pre-Game Media Notes (download link) Final: Quad Cities (Royals) 6, Wisconsin 2 Box Score and Game Log Seventh Inning is Fatal to Wisconsin in Loss at Quad Cities - Rodriguez collects 7K in 5-1/3 scoreless innings for no decision Outside of teenager RHP Manuel Rodriguez' usual brilliance (nice to him stretched to 68 pitches) and Jadher Areinamo's continued posting of crooked box score numbers, the game summary you just read encapsulates well why this team is 8-20 in the second half. It's likely for the best that we haven't been exposed to the usual amount of video highlights and audio podcasts during the Rattlers' extended road trip. Speaking of video highlights, the River Bandits posted none of their own, be so thankful for what we receive from Wisconsin management. Rehabber switch-hitting 26-year-old OF Steward Berroa walked twice and stole a base as we get to know the latest member of the Milwaukee 40-man roster. This is the one affiliate roster where there are enough bodies for lineup flexibility, but the lack of reliable production throughout outside of the "I'm trapped in this uniform" Areinamo doesn't inspire movement within. Carolina Pre-Game Media Notes Final: Kannapolis (White Sox) 8, Carolina 7, ten innings Box Score and Game Log Late Rally Sends Kannapolis Past Mudcats Yeah, you never want to see a seven-game win streak end, but that was a brutal way for it to happen (refer to the game summary, please), especially in front of nearly 5,000 fans - wow, you love your summer fireworks, Zebulon! LHP Bjorn Johnson's 8th inning entrance was 1-2-3 beauty, as was his K to begin the 9th (did you catch Johnson's dugout interview this week?). But it next was a game of not duck-duck-goose but walk-walk-homer. Read why Braylon Payne had to leave early here. Ouch, sure hope both he and the security guard who was conked during the Alumni Home Run Derby (video) are doing OK this morning. Next, visit the game log for a frustrating Carolina bottom of the 10th - put the ball in play, fellas! RHP Griffin Tobias walked two in his middle relief stint, that doubled his season total - four in 45.2 innings! Eric's still a teenager - Eight teenagers got at-bats Friday. It's nuts, not because of the sheer youth, but because they are so darn productive most nights. DSL Red Sox Red 2, DSL Brewers Blue 0, seven innings as scheduled Box Score and Game Log DSL Cleveland Goryl 8, DSL Brewers Gold 1 Box Score and Game Log The two Crew entries combined for 13 baserunners on the day, 0-for-6 RISP. Thankfully for us (and especially me), my fellow Link Reporter Daniel did a spot-on job of providing details in this post from our day-long thread. The same six affiliates see action Saturday. Hope everyone's summer isn't speeding by too quickly! Via MLB Pipeline: "It’s not a full-on rerank -- that will come in August with the 2025 Draft class folded in -- it’s a freshening-up of all of the lists. We’ve reranked every team's top 10 and then made room for any players who deserved to jump up or move down 10 or more spaces on their respective team rankings. Brewers Top 30 List "The organization already boasts six Top 100 prospects, tied for the second-most in baseball. It’s keeping the wheel turning with breakouts from 2024 picks Marco Dinges and Tyson Hardin, each of whom jumps into the top 20 for the first time. No matter how you line it up, this could be the deepest farm system in the game right now." -

Sunday's game will be as well, basically any time the Brewers are not scheduled in the evening through the end of August, and if the Sounds are at home (Jeff Hem on the call, nice), the game will be on FanDuel. Technically the Brewers are not playing tonight (Friday 7/25), but FanDuel will have coverage of the Alumni Home Run Derby. The "X" post below will also be placed in the "Your 2025 Nashville Sounds" thread for reference.

Harold, you do remember who traded Grant Anderson to the Brewers? Milwaukee flips the “fixed version” back? Looking forward to the deadline passing…
