  1. Roco, MAIN pt with Keith is, HIS DEFENSE IS TERRIBLE!! I love the dingers, but we need a GOOD defensive player at second. You win with defense, not solo home runs.
  2. there has to be something in hte Huntsville water. Jones, Hendrickson, Saenz, Harper, diggins,Bruso. All of them got injured in Huntsville. Conicidence? I dont think sohttp://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/wink.gif
  3. Lil Ben will NOT go six innings tonight. Im guessing, 4 IP 8 H 5ER 4BB 3 Ks Brewers lose 7-1.
  4. wow,. that was one of the most worthless things Ive read in my life. The fact that the lancaster manager is swearing like that and "ordering" guys to get hit is pathetic. Those guys are there to MANAGE the team and TEACH guys how to play the game. Not engage in crap like that. I know that sports are very competetive, played them my whole life, but cmon, these two managers, mainly the Lancaster one is taking things way too seriously. Talking about beaning guys in the head on purpose and stuff is uncalled for. These are 20 yr old kids trying to MAKE A LIVING. If you bean some kid in the head because of some "problem" you have with another team, and that kids career is in jeopardy as a result, then theres some issues that need to be resolved with that manager and soon. Just imagine if Parra were to hit someone as retaliation and then the Lancaster players come out and start to pound him before Parras teammates can answer and he breaks his arm or soemthing? Thats our NUMBER 1 pitching prospect getting hurt for what could be a very long time, all because of two IMMATURE managers who've got a beef with each other.
  5. Well, Costello just threw a complete game 3 hitter. Stars won 3-0. 11 Ks, set single season record for this year.
  6. Any idea where Lou Palmisano has been these past 3 games? I noticed he missed the doubleheader yesterday and also today's game ----- this is just a guess, but barring an injury no one knows about, I wouldnt doubt that he is just getting some midseason rest. He is a catcher, in his first LONG pro season and plays 90% of his games behind the plate. I can just see Don Money sitting him for a few games to keep him fresh throughout the season.
  7. Bruso bouncing back nicely so far in his second start at HD. 5IP 4hits 1R 0ER Crabbe booted an easy grounder with two out and a runner on third for the unearned run.
  8. All in all I was very impressed with his stuff, although after giving up a couple of bloop hits on fastballs he started to throw alot of curves --- excellent update. Just wanted to respond to this comment. Thats what learning is all about for Rogers right now. Looks like he has GREAT stuff and what the key for him is to learn when to throw certain pitches. That all comes in the minors. And Im very confident that he is very coachable. Again, thanks for the play by play, box scores never really show the real truth behind things.
  9. David Krynzel 0-for-11 since returning to Indy, --- mass, you missed his first game back. Went 2-5 Sunday the 4th, the day you reported him being back with Indy.
  10. Typical Hendrickson outing. 7IP 8H 1ER 1BB 7Ks 1-1 with Krynel up and runners on first and third, 2 out. He is 1-4 today with a single.
  11. Lousiville took a 1-0 lead in the top of the 5th,rbi single. 1 out runner on first. Hendrickson did have 4 ks through 3, not sure now.
  12. krynzel is back at Center today for Indy, Bergeron in Left.
  13. this may be more related to the major league forum, but why doesnt NED LEARN when dealing with Obie? He should have just taken hm out after gettting 5 strong. Every single start its the same thing, almost. Obie goes about 5 and then gets smoked in the 6th. If Ned would pull him after the 5th his ERA would be lower and his CONFIDENCE would be higher. IMO!
  14. its extremely nice to see Bruso back in action and doing very well, albeit rookie ball. Im wondering where he is gonna go after a few more starts. Cant stay in rookie ball the rest of the year can he? HD? Beloit? Indy? Maybe send him to Huntsville and move Sarfate down to HD.
  15. Manny Parra at San Jose (Giants), 9:00; fantastic pitching matchup with the Giants' Merkin Valdez... ----- umm, guess not huh? San Jose put up a 10 spot in the 1st inning. Not good for Manny!
  16. good to see our bigtime stars, no pun intended, hitting well to start the second half. 2 hits through 7 innings with one of them coming the Saenz. Jeesh!
  17. baker walks a guy, hits a guy, single. Hmm, Lets go Josh! Im out. Hinton must have started.
  18. 1-1 in the bottom of 6. Baker in, only opp. run in 4th. IF hinton started then it was a good one. hopefully they say when Baker came in.
  19. thanks, just got home and checked the game and caught portnoys highlights, you should thank him for good highlight and blame me for not catching everything.
  20. Huntsville highlights. Ford gave up a two run double early. Barnwell with an error. Weeks with a run scoring single in the 3rd. 7 game hitting streak. fielder with an error that led to a run. barnwell with another error, leads to a run. 4-1 Nelson threw a guy out at home in the 3th inning on a single with a guy at second. Ford goes 3 innings with 66 pitches, not all his fault, poor d. Weeks with a basehit 2 for the night. Gwynn- 2 base error, 2nd and 3rd. prince grounded to 3rd and got an rbi, Nelson- big HR to take the lead. This all in the 5th i think in the game. He seems for REAL! In two years jenkins is gonna be real expendable, if not after next season. for whatever the brewers do these days, i feel very confident that in two years, this team is gonna be very very differnt and in a very good way. Weeks 3-5 2rbi run scored. Nelson with the big blast, players of the game.
  21. I believe Helena is piggybacking their starters and if I remember correctly Baker started the last game and Hinton came in for him. Im assuming that it will indeed Hinton and then Baker tonight. Im hoping Josh bounces back from a rough opening start.
  22. the last I heard blazin was that he was going to AZ on wednesday, and I think Massbrew said soemthing about a start in a week so July 1 sounds possible.
  23. hopefully his U.S. diet plan can address that... ----- get him to Mcdonalds every day and he will be up to 200 lbs in no time.
  24. geez, what do you expect when youve got Todd Erdos closing the game out? bad talent leads to bad losses.
  25. good analysis as usual. But regarding Stars starting rotation for 2nd half. Don't you think that there must be some thought of moving Saenz to Indy?? And how about Ford when he gets all the way back. Don't you think the organization wants more than AA out of a guy that was a Rule 5 2 years ago??... Quickly!!?? -------------------- First, Ford was a Rule Five LAST year. And got hurt in the second half of it, and is just now getting fully healthy. Hes definately staying in AA the rest of the year. With their rotation issues, Saenz is the logical choice to move up since he did well in Mil, but again, here is a guy who in in high A ball just last year, so it would be a major move. I personally think that when Jones is ready, they move him to AAA.
