It’s Murphy’s fault as well as Hook/Henderson’s fault for allowing the organization to use Ashby and his body as a baseball scientific experiment. Ashby is to blame as well as he agreed to it… but come on Crew…what did you think was going to happen when you pitch a guy nearly every game. How do you think his arm/shoulder is going to be? Either trade him and get something for him before he throws his arm off or put him on the IR for a week or two to rest. Unreal!! Murphy better not use him in the playoffs like he did last year. Is Yordan Alvarez a pipe dream? I don’t know any of his contract status or anything else other than he would be perfect for our lineup. I would be willing to trade higher level top prospects and maybe even Garrett Mitchell for him. ???

Lara’s plate discipline was the most impressive thing about his debut. Dude had the plate presence of a 10 year vet. Just before his first hit, the count was 2-1 and he looked at a sick curveball just below the zone for ball 3. I think that pitch was all I needed to see from him to know he’s going to be something special.
