  1. Who was doubting Magruder? http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/tongue.gif
  2. They aren't used to being thrown in the fire. Bring them in when nobody is on base. Not much choice when your starter walks 7.
  3. One of the few in-play balls that would not tie the game.
  4. Davis was already at 100 pitches. No reason to leave him in there with no command at all. The bullpen needs a little rest. Davis needed to go deep in the game. He couldn't but the Brewers still had to squeeze every last batter out of him. Don't blame Helling. A career starter was brought in with the bases loaded. Another move that makes no sense to me. Davis gets the blame. Not Helling. Certainly not Yost. That said, Helling is a reliever now. He gets paid to come in and clean up messes. People need to realize that sometimes the players are not getting the job done. Not everything can be blamed on the manager.
  5. Maybe Rickie is starting to get hot again?
  6. Typical lately... The Brewers stake their pitcher out to a big lead, only to see the pitcher come back out and give up runs (usually including at least one walk that ends up scoring).
  7. In play, run-scoring play Gosh, I love seeing that. Way to go Lyle.
  8. Chance for more here. Let's get 'em in.
  9. Can't bunt. Can't throw strikes.
  10. Back to back walks. Trouble brewing. Ughh.
  11. Common thread with Brewers pitchers lately.... THROW STRIKES.
  12. Walk... hold him on Dougy, the boy can run.
  13. The inning should have been over before Piazza even batted. As pathetic as Santana was in the 11th, Hall's botched play was the main cause of loss, I agree. Edit: Just saw the replay... Cameron even stopped running about 3 stops out of the box.
  14. Santana didn't even try to throw a strike. That last pitch was thrown a ball on purpose. What are we, in high school?? C'mon. Give me a break.
  15. would rather have seen FBs down the middle and a walk off grand slam than that Absolutely. Throw strikes. Is that too much to ask for a big league pitcher?
  16. THROW STRIKES. Stop over throwing. Throw strikes. If I'm Piazza I'm swinging. Nevermind.
  17. Sorry, Piazza up now... K coming.
  18. Piazza... here is a guy Santana can K. Gotta happen.
  19. Who do we have to pinch hit if we make it there? Not that its going to matter now, but JJ Hardy is still there. Billy just botched a DP ball.
  20. Terrible hitting by Cameron... if you don't get "your pitch" on 3-1, you don't swing.
  21. Earth to Santana... he is giving you an out.
  22. No, this hasn't been a good game to watch. This has been great, IMO. If the Brewers lose, it will be a heartbreaker. But entertaining from start to finish for sure.
