  1. I am going to laugh when Yost benches Branyan and Hardy tomm, who combined for 66% of the hits today. And Branyan scored the only run. Oh, wait a second. That's right. He blew it on the bases. JJ will be playing, I think. Not Branyan vs the lefty, probably.
  2. Reuter tomorrow. When's the next time the Brewers don't face a "soft tosser"?
  3. Nice to see an old veteran get out of an inning for a change.
  4. Hey Ned, I've got a good idea. Let's have Miller be our lead off hitter on Friday!! Ahhhhhh, yes. Its always something.
  5. Is it still a quality start if the pitcher gets shelled in the 8th inning? Only if he leaves the game without allowing more than 3 runs.
  6. Man its a good thing Yost let Santos hit in the 5th so he could pitch that one extra inning. Well, his strike/ball ratio was not pretty, but its not like the Giants were killing the ball against him. It wasn't much of a stretch to want to get another inning out of him tonight.
  7. I thought to get a quality start you had to go 7. 6 or more innings with 3 or fewer runs allowed.
  8. Let's go Brady... drive them in.
  9. Wow... I thought that hit the pole! Edit: Nope
  10. Nibble, nibble, nibble, mistake... BAM!
  11. Any money says Vic the Vamp walks the pitcher to jam the bases. If only...
  12. Nothing like a double on a wild pitch... great job by Vic and Russ helping out.
  13. If you saw Hardy the begining of the year you'd see why trying to hit the other way does actually hinder some players Whether you are good at it or not, there are times you have to try to go to the right side. Runner on 2nd and nobody out is one of those times.
  14. 3-4-5 coming up. At least one run this inning... and that's not just the beer talking.
  15. Would be silly to sacrifice the runner over so Santos can NOT hit the ball out of the infield. The ball doesn't have to leave the infield to score from third. In fact, Vic's weak hitting could actually be a benefit - a weakly hit ball could easily score the runner. I see your point, but trying to go the opposite way can do absolutely no harm. It takes a base hit to the left side to advance the runner, but any ball on the ground to the right at least moves the runner and a hit scores him.
  16. Vic is .031. I think Sheets is less??? If you consider .000 to be less than .031 (which you should), then yes.
  17. If Hardy is incapable of hitting the ball on the ground to the right side, can he really be considered a future #2 hitter?
  18. So far we are up to the same junk as last night. Striking out a lot. Making a bum pitcher look like Roger Clemens. Its early. The Crew will get to this guy the 2nd time thru the lineup. If they don't, I'll eat my words.
  19. 4 pretty good plays already for SF.
  20. Vic... c'mon. Walking the leadoff hitter. The vampire is up to his old tricks again.
  21. I'll beg if I have to... Victor, please please please stop nibbling. Be the pitcher that you were earlier in the season, not the one that you have been lately.
