  1. Thatta boy Billy. Now we gotta find a way to get him in with Miller, Spivey, and a pinch hitter.
  2. That's what Wunsch does to lefties. He was lights out for the White Sox a couple of years ago before being shut down by injuries last year. The slider from that arm angle is nasty.
  3. Give him credit - he's pitching well. Yep, in fairness, we would be praising a Brewers spot starter if he pitched as well as Houlton did. Naturally, we look at things from only one perspective.
  4. HBP... there's a start. Move him around and get him in!
  5. Wow, 4 well-hit balls this inning. Vic is getting scorched. Do the Dodgers have garlic around their necks or what?
  6. Leadoff double wasted again. Ugh.
  7. Lyle K's without even taking the bat off his shoulder. Nice.
  8. Well, its a run. Double play wasn't exactly what I had in mind with Clark up there.
  9. Okay, let's see if Vic can get a bunt down this time.
  10. Patrick425, I'm pretty sure Daron was referring to Houlton making his first MLB start right before that comment. Out of context it looks a little goofy, but it wasn't meant the way it sounds that way.
  11. Home run... Hmm, looks like Obermueller's spot in the rotation is safe.
  12. Trouble brewing for GG now, and Roberts most likely won't be doubled up.
  13. Nope, no balls were robbed out there. In fact, I don't recall a long fly out to right during that inning either. But, if I'm wrong, somebody please correct me.
  14. Jenks says, "Bring back Peavy!" Hat trick.
  15. Ouch... Short stint for Obie today. Couldn't find the strike zone.
  16. brewerjamie... I tend to agree with you. Then again, I've supported Jenks all along, so I may not be the best test case here.
  17. Well, this walk to load the bases may not be the worst thing in the world. Then again, I may eat my words in a pitch or two.
  18. Winning this one vs Oswalt would be a huge start to this series. He has owned the Crew in the past, but with Houston's horrendous offense, I can see the Brewers pulling this one out. If they can take game 1, the other 2 games don't look nearly as tough, especially if Clemens and Pettite are unable to go. Edit: The starters listed for games 2 and 3 are: Saturday... Astacio vs Sheets Sunday... Pettite vs Capuano (Both matchups look promising)
  19. Where was he going to double switch? He couldn't put Billy Hall in at short batting 9th, because the pitcher still would be due up the next half inning. He couldn't put Wise in the 8-hole, because then Miller would have to come in to catch, leaving no other catcher on the bench. If you're suggesting that Capuano should have been left in to face the pitcher, then I can see your point on that. Pitchers coming in to face one hitter is not that uncommon, and its not like Ned wasted a pitcher like a Francisco Rodriguez - he used Matt Wise. Big deal.
  20. All of a sudden Torrealba is an offensive force. Russell's error looms large this inning. Well, I guess it wasn't ruled an error, but you know what I mean.
  21. Production from Jenkins and Lee... Gotta love it!
  22. Off topic but worth noting... The Packers just selected Brett Favre's successor, QB Aaron Rodgers from Cal.
  23. Ooooh.... first error for JJ Hardy. Looked like the ball came up on him a bit, but a play that should have been made. Oh well, get the next one.
