  1. Last gave up a run on May 28th vs the Red Sox. Had pitched 9 times (8 IP) without giving up a run coming into today. In fact, aside from an awful spell in late May (19/5- 28/5) in which he gave up 6 runs in 5 appearances, he has only allowed runs in 2 of 28 appearances
  2. Disappointing loss. Couple of mistakes/bad at bats killed us. Gettem tomorrow
  3. Worse of it all is he had the bag stolen but carried too much momentum. Slid juuuust a bit too late
  4. Yelli is on pace for 30 HR, 20+ SB and 100 RBI's and has a 1.078 OPS over the past month. Who would've though after the rough start
  5. Its a manner of speaking. I thought it was obvious I hate the injuries. He seems to be a nice dude
  6. Yeah next year is probably cheap. Years 5 & 6 are the ones I am thinking about. 4M for a guy to sit on the IL for 100 games is a lot
  7. If we don't score then I'd favour pulling Quintana. As someone said, he's been effective but not sharp. Why risk it when we have a rested bullpen?
  8. I hate Mitchell. The potential is tantalising and he seems to be a fantastic person but he is always injured! He has missed almost 300 games over the past 3 years. I don't know when do we let him go. He is going to arbitration next year and its going to get expensive to pay him to be on rehab asignment
  9. Win! Hope we saved some runs for the rest of this series
  10. Aw man. Bauers' scoreless streak had to end at some point I guess
  11. I don't think we can trade Peralta if we intend to compete. And trading for an MLB ready 3rd basemen seems foolhardy with Wilken, Adams and possibly Pratt on the way and likely to be NRIs at the very least next year
  12. 250/308/313/620 in June. Still far from good but finally some improvement
  13. And your point is? But whatever. This is not worth wasting energy over. I think Murphy's job as a manager goes beyond wins and losses. He is a leader and moves like this do not show leadership skills. I don't even think he is a bad manager. This was just a dumb move. I digress. Agree to disagree. Enjoy the game
