I don’t like to harp on negative stuff, but I’m surprised more people aren’t commenting on a pitifully coached game by Craig. Obviously his pitching/bullpen decisions were poor, but he may not wanted to use Bryse for more than an inning or so today after his long outing, maybe there are some other things we don’t know that changed the calculus. But any game where where Turang, Weimer, and Monasterio get a full games worth of at bats, And Frelick doesn’t bat is very poor especially when you need offense. If he was sacrificing so many at bats today for those players due to the all defining splits, then he should have coached the pitching staff a hell of a lot more seriously. Crew can’t score on lefties, then you can’t have that 7th inning rookie coaching stuff. Standings often come down to 1 game sometimes at the end of the year, it’s almost like he was just forfeiting this one :( -
