  1. It’s actually really a positive they’re only down three. Now they just have to see a lot of pitches to get Crochet out of the game. Also I want to see the Sanchize take Chapman deep tonight. Again.
  2. I know Hall’s fastball sucks but I really don’t think this kitchen sink approach works for him. He needs to hone in on 3 or MAYBE 4 pitches that work for him. A reliever can’t come into the game with runners on and take 10 pitches to feel out what’s workin for him today.
  3. If you feel like this is a game where you are not gonna manage seriously, then they should have starter Miz tomorrow.
  4. Wilyer Abrue is not good against lefties by the way…..
  5. Both aforementioned switch hitters are much better from the right side of the plate. I would definitely rather have a righty batting Rengifo somewhere between those three, they also could have used Lockridge, or pinch hit with Sanchez at some point. I’m pretty much stating that with men on base I would like to see Lockridge pinch hit against a lefty for Mitchell, or Sanchize for Bauers. If that isn’t going to happen, Rengifo should be swapped with Bauers in the batting order. This never happened last year.
  6. I hear you on that, but that is why I would like him to stagger his lefties and righties instead of putting so many in a row.
  7. Chew on that loss Willllson. Every team you go to ends up sucking :) Also, if my older brother acted that way, I would check him in a heartbeat.
  8. I have to say, it has crossed my mind before that jack even, that William has a difficult time calling what pitches should be thrown to his brother.
  9. Great to see Ringifo hit a rope. Especially from is weaker side of the plate. That 3rd run is huge.
  10. What an amazing angle to that slide by Yeli. Great approach by Mitch!!!
  11. How did Yelich score!! And boy have I ever seen him that pumped up!?!
  12. Nice to see Story didn’t get lucky 3 times tonight.
  13. Oh ok? He’s on pace for over 100 innings out of the bullpen this year. Before this game’s usage. Maybe every day isn’t the right descriptor. But relieving every OTHER day and being a multi inning reliever is unheard of these days.
  14. Does Murphy truly believe he can use Ashby EVERYDAY?
  15. I tell ya, Murph never used to do this, but this stacking 3 lefties in a row, knowing you’re not going to pinch hit for them, is a terrible idea. Absurd.
  16. I think instead of trotting Woody back out or trying to see if he can get Grant Andershot’s arm to fall off, Murph should just see if he can get a few innings out of Hall. Gotta see if he can ever be more than mop up duty.
  17. Haha. Dumdum Contreras would have had an easy out at home.
  18. It infuriates me that they waited til 75 + pitches in to steal a strike with that curveball. I know it may not be a great pitch, or the metrics may not be high on it, but Woody is insane if he thinks he is just going to be able to cruise through lineups throwing all fastballs and changeups. In order to do that throwing 91, you need Maddox level command. He needs to use his full arsenal strategically to keep them guessing. And what happened when he finally did? He whiffed the batter on 3 pitches.
  19. I love to see Lara get some love. I know everyone is obsessed with power and there’s two things in regards to that with Lara: 1) As we’ve seen with Turang and Frelick, to different extents, a lot of talented, athletic prospects see their power become at least passable as they enter their mid 20s. In Turang’s case it appears it will get to above average. 2) More importantly, if a player is an elite defender at an important position, being a switch hitter who can hit for average, draw walks, and steal bases is enough, even if they never develop much pop. If Blake Perkins hit 270 with a 360 obp, he would steal 30 plus bags and his defense would do the rest. Add in the fact that he’d most likely win a gold glove playing every day at and that is an awesome player at center field. P.S. I love me some switch hitters.
  20. Meanwhile I just saw the Cubs get shutout 0-2 by the Angels. I’m happy :)
