It'll be interesting to see what the next new "moneyball" will be, if the first round was OBP and the second round was defensive metrics. I just hope it's not "playing the game the right way", because I'm pretty sure my head would explode. Defensive metrics have pretty much been voodoo up to this point. Kudos to Jack Z for really being the first GM to take the plunge there.

Just wanted to follow up on this. Got there about an hour before game time. Parked in the gas station on the northwest side of the stadium for $25. I was parked in, but by the time I got back to my car (maybe 20 minutes after the game ended), I was able to get out and head southbound on I-43 with no issues. A pretty good experience overall, despite my toes being frozen.

I really don't think it's a security issue. Your internet provider really has no idea whether traffic it's routing is coming from a wireless device or a wired device, since they presumably all flow through your cable modem (or whatever broadband mechanism you're using). If your wired traffic is working but your wireless isn't, it's not a problem with your provider. It's your wireless router. Have you tried another wireless device on it to see if it encounters the same problem?

It's an interesting idea, but I'd probably want to restrict it to a certain known set of Twitter accounts, otherwise it's probably like 80% noise. Good suggestion.

Can't say enough good things about Marcus Hanel and his work with charities. That was a great listen.

I've got Windows 7 running on a few machines now. I've had some issues with drivers not existing yet for my Printer/scanner/fax and a few other driver issues for my netbook (that really isn't supported by Windows 7, so that's my fault anyways). It runs like a dream. It's much faster than Vista on the exact same hardware. It's now my default "OS of choice" over win xp pro.

I went there last month and did the "audio tour". As other's have above, I'd recommend it. Kind of lame to have to pay like $7 or something to rent an mp3 player for an hour, but the context it provides is cool. I'd skip the movie they show in the theater. I pretty much fell asleep during it.

Thanks for all the tips, everyone. Our two parties will probably just find parking separately so one's not dependent on the other, and so that we only have to park once. And as far as the ride home goes, as long as it's a win, I'll be pretty patient.

Posting this over here, because I'm pretty sure it's off-topic... Heading to the packer game tomorrow. I'm coming from up north, and we're meeting two other people coming from Milwaukee. We're looking to park somewhere to consolidate into one car then find some place near the stadium to park. Any suggestions on either? Probably planning on arriving wherever we park maybe 45-60 mins before kickoff. Thanks! Brian

Hey, does anyone know anyone from Brewers' Charities? Someone I know is looking for someone to contact to try to set something up. Thanks in advance for any help you can provide....

PHP is probably the easiest "entry-level" programming language. It has a very large community, and hosting PHP websites is very cheap.

Valpo - I'm not really well versed in Joomla or Drupal, but I appreciate the thought.... Pretendastronaut - That would be awesome

Did it with $15 to spare. THANK YOU EVERYONE!!!!

Need tickets for the game.... lemme know if you have a pair you want to part with.

Doin' it again this Sunday at 9pm. Labor day weekend, so many of you won't have to work on Monday. Come on out.

will be out again tonight... come on out!

Total to date: $615.00

Hey Guys, so we've basically done two donation drives every year or so for the past few years. One for the forum costs, and one for everything else (the bulk of that being hosting costs for the rest of the site). Basically, the base site cost is $50 a month ($600 a year) plus a small fee for domain registration and variable fees for bandwidth overruns (which affect us during some of the heavier months). So basically, I'm shooting for $600. Anything over and above that we'll use for giveaways/promotions, and anything under that will be my donation. So, if you're able to, you can paypal money to webmaster@brewerfan.net ... If paypal isn't an option for you, you can email me at webmaster@brewerfan.net or PM me here for alternative arrangements ... and, I know that there are more people than usual out of work and dealing with less disposable cash these days, so if donating isn't an option for you, don't sweat it. Thanks in advance! I'll post the results at the end of the drive, otherwise i'll do it every few days if we're not at our goal. LINK

Stopped in at five guys a couple of days ago myself. The burgers are great, definitely in my top 5. However, the real reason I love it is because when you eat there, they have bottles of malt vinegar that you can use to dose your fries. Sooooo good.

At the garage again tonight. We're having a humane society raffle at 7pm, and then the DJ stuff starts as normal around 9-9:30pm. I'll probably be on at some time after 10. If you're up, swing on by. For the love of house!
